SAKI!!! Oh many a fun night over Sushi and Saki! They still warm it up for us Yankees, but I think it’s probably supposed to be drank cold now.

Never really heard much about Sake, but I’m excited to try it out next time I get a chance!

GV’s comment: I had one sake many years ago which was supposed to be excellent — meh.

Great. Another hobby. ;) I’ve been meaning to head out to the Sake Brewery in Folsom, CA and plein air their gardens. Now I have another reason…

Re. Tea Library TV. Yes, please! I came to wine via tea — they reenforce each other beautifully. (I still play with the idea of becoming a professional tea taster.) Many of the principles of terroir, blending, food combining are similar. And, the people are great & snooty in similar proportions. (Similar proportions of legitimate tradition and mythological blarney, too.) We’re only just now starting to explore food and tea combinations (beyond crumpets). And, as with wine, it’s a great way to explore the world from your armchair.

Also, a cuppa is a great thing to have about an hour after the wine and an hour before driving home. That might even be a good show idea — pairing wines and teas and foods so they support each other, i.e. a dry rose with the entree, and a osmanthus green with dessert?
