Sotd: Would just like to say that I love the show, and everyone that's been involved at WLTV, and the community it has created

I just don't understand wineries like Cameron Hughes. I can understand the requests to have their wines on the show just a smidgen more. Obviously when you put out any wine there is some amount of business involved. But when you're just buying up grapes from all over the place and throwing out mass produced stuff it comes across to me that your blatantly trying to show that there's no passion behind it at all. To me wine is about the passion involved in getting it from the vine to the bottle, and it speaking from the place that it's from, etc. Wineries like that seem to me to be the antithesis of this.

Gary, your review of the Lot 100 CH Cab was right on. I'm stoked that you rated the wine so highly. For my dollar, when I find a CH wine that I personally enjoy, I'm buying a case or more. Not every lot is of the caliber of Lot 100, but several other lots I've tasted (Lot 35, 110, 172 & 87 to name a few) were exceptional values at my local Sam's Club store. Folks, if you find a CH wine you really like, buy a bunch because it won't be around long.

I just bought a couple of the very hard-to-find bottles of Lot 100 Cabs. Incidentally, the label above should say 2006 (not 2007) Cameron Hughes Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon Lot 100.

Looking forward to trying these out at Thanksgiving.

Cheers,

GV - I enjoyed the show. I thought that it was going to be a disaster at the beginning, but the last 2 wines provided some redemption.
I am a little late in getting these comments out, but I comment on all shows!

Statement - I heard MJ's spiritual advisor, who happened to be a Rabbi, make a very serious statement regarding MJ's death. It actually applies to more than just MJ.
His point was that MJ's death was tragic in that a person so hounded by the media was being hounded in death by the media on the type of ceremony to hold to honor his life. The rabbi's point was that this a time of mourning and reflection for the Jackson family, his children, and his close friends. However, it was turned into a circus.
Americans are far too caught up in media and celebrity. Focus on your family and their upbringing and doing good deeds for mankind. Who cares what Person X wore to the Oscars.

Gary -

I just want to thank you for continually bringing the thunder on the wine front. There are days when a little WLTV is just what the doctor ordered.

Loved the show GV. Been very busey lately but caching up on past shows. I talk about you to my friends that think they know wine. Some are turned off, (but they are wine posers) others think your genuine.

Screw Caps to you
