QOTD: My favorite wine bar in San Diego, CA is Wine Steals in the Hillcrest neighborhood.

That place seemed cool, although a little sterile looking, it’s just a giant vending machine.

    QOTD; Brix

My favorite wine bar has been Vinology in downtown Ann Arbor. But from time to time, I’ve be known to stop by the bar at Whole Foods while buying $8 strawberries and $20 boxes of cereal.

The one I used to work at until the economy tanked :-( . All the rest in Boise I don’t bother with.

That looked like a cool place…

QOTD – Don’t go to wine bars often – why pay $10-15 a glass when I can get a whole bottle for that much.

Cool place… would like to see something like that out West…

QOTD: Wandering Dog Wine Bar in Solvang… only ‘wine bar’ we ever visit…

    Meh…

QOTD: Never found one that I could handle the markup, but a wine shop, Church Street Cellars, has the enotechs and I love going and doing tastes there for a small mark up.

Really neat concept for that wine bar!!! I had a cubcile full of people checking that out with me.

My favorite wine bar, would be Sante wine bar in Asheville NC. But I havent really tried the ones here in my home town. I hear that Rumours wine bar is great.

QOTD: So many ways to go with “favorite.” But if pressed, I’d have to say Twisted Cork in the bottom of the Bellevue Hyatt just because of the great music on the weekends.

    @Armond_

    Very cool wine bar.

QOTD: Haven’t found one that I like. I’m going to a cool wine store for a wine tasting in a couple of hours in Escondido, CA.

Qotd: Vino Local in Palo Alto, Ca. As the name says it’s all local wines and nice outside area with pretty good munchies.
Thanks for showing us CLO. It looks very high tech but where are the couches or chairs? Couldn’t they let you taste a couple more wines? Expense it!
I went to a place in SF that had a similar approach where they have machines give you tastes, instead of glasses, and it was pretty pricey. That’s how they roll.
@GV Thanks a bunch for the list of free shipping wines for the weekend. I’m stocking up on some QPR’s.
    Top twenty?

    hey gary -

favorite wine bar of the moment has to be Vinoteca on the U Street Corridor in DC. Nice selection of “weird” wines and the price isn’t too terrible. I’m on my way up to NYC right now, and will be checking out Terroir tonight – hoping that Paul Greico kicks my palate in.

    happy 4th kiddo

Love the use of technology there, very cool to see people push the envelope.

QOTD: WHoa, you didn’t let the guest ask the question? That has to be a first. My favorite one is a place called “Crust” and it’s a wine-bar combined with a gourmet pizza (thin-crust NY style) restaruant in Bloomfield, MI.

Very Cool Wine Bar. Love the Concept.

QOTD: Ibiza on the South Side of Pittsburgh.

    Interesting report.

QOTD: Living in a small city i Sweden (80 000 inhab)I’ll don’t get the privelage to have a wine bar. Lots of pubs and resturants, but no wine bar … I’ve to open one… hmm..

Clo seems like a really hip place!

    Amazing what technology can provide!

QOTD: No cool wine bars up here in Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada. I’ve never been to Clo’s, but definately an amazing concept! Kudos!

    Cheers!
