Gary,

I love your show, I think with this big boom interest in the wine world you will find a lot of followers watching you closely!
I wanted to suggest you a wine that has competed and beat the super tuscans like Ornellaia & Sassicaia and the price is 1/8 compared to them. Definetly a wine that is big bang for the buck and is always sold out here in Montreal as soon as it goes to our SAQ stores. I have 3 left in my repoitoire the wine's name without further adue is: 2008 Podere Sapaio Bolgheri Volpolo 27$ Canadian.

Let me know what you think.

I just came back from Tuscana at the end of November, and I have to say it has gone to the top 3 places in the world for me. The people, food, breathtaking landscape and of course the wine...fabulous! I stayed for 4 days with the Mazzei family, of world famous Castello di Fonterutoli, had a very private(just me and the sommelier that works for them) and tried all of their wines. I fell in love with the Doppiozeta from their property in Sicilia, the Castello di Fonterutoli and the Siepi. Their docg olive oil is magnificent. Became a member of their wine club.

I also visted Casanova di Neri in Montalcino, and tasted and purchased some of the 04 Tenuta Nuova brunello.

Siena was a highlight and so were Pienza(their cheese is the best in italy imho), Montepulciano, San Gimignano, Volterra and of course, driving through the chiantigiana and stopping to taste many fine chianti classicos. I did not have time to visit Felsina and Villa Caffagio in Chianti, and the region of Maremma. I plan to return October of 2010 for the harvest.

Gary I would like to see a show featuring the 07 Zisola Doppiozeta from Mazzei, and the 05 or 06 Felsina Rancia.

Great show brother!! You now have a very loyal Puertorriqueño follower of the show. I was a lurker for a long time, but will start commenting from now on.

Thanks

I am a fan of the STs, but they have gotten pretty pricey, as I guess many popular wine regions have.

QOTD - laid back scenic beauty, wine and food.
