QOTD: When you say chicken I think Back To The Future. When you say apple I think Laffy Taffy.

Great episode. I love expanding my palette and will be seeking out this varietal.

Gary did you drink this white cold, or more at room temperature? I saw you on COCO and you really hit that point home that most people drink their white wines at the wrong temp. Please tell.

Love the behind the scene action on today’s show. Not a big fan of the whites, but I suspect my wife would love it. Added it to the list to try and find.

QOTD: Two part question, one part answer… sausage!

Thanks for the heads-up on the falanghina. I will take it to my grave that Italian whites are some of the best wines out there for overall quality versus price ration, ie: Pecorino, Greco de Tuffo, Tocai Friulano, Piano Bianco, etc, etc. All for what is usually a song. Yep, the best qpr available. Maybe Portugal for the reds, but for the whites, it’s the Italians.

    QOTD: Julius.

HAHA Holy Crap Gary this might be my new favorite episode. The fact that you just completely lost your mind after reading my comment was priceless.
A hot buttered knife too? I haven’t laughed this much at something in a while.

    Laid back Friday couch FTW!

QOTD: When you say Chicken I say Chicken Dance! When you say Apples? I think Pie!

Gary- happy Friday. I enjoyed this laid back episode… If I could give you just one small piece of advice though, it would be to watch your “ums” and “uhs” when you speak. I know this is just a chill wine review program and you’re not giving a speech at Harvard, but it will make the show a bit tighter. For what it’s worth, I still love your crazy analogies and anecdotes, as well as when you get tongue tied and say something completely off base. Stay hyper too!

    QOTD 1: “Tastes like chicken”

QOTD 2: My first caramel apple at Six Flags Magic Mountain in SoCal. when I was like 6 years old. The thing was the size of my head!

    Best,

    Gary -
I enjoyed the diversion into the Kitchen. That spontenaity makes the show great. Keep it up! Mott’s apples – that was funny!

Too bad, in northeast Ohio retailers devout very little space to these alternative varietals. Thus one is not inclined to pick something like this on a whime. It will be something from the cabernet or chardonnay section.

Heck, but that’s why we have the Winelibrary! Because it’s changing the … I know, you get the drift.

QTD – Chicken – My first thought was grilled, because I’ve been grilling out a lot lately.
Apples – My first thought was Mott, because of the latest episode. More common thought – sauteed cinnamon apples

    Nice episode,

I liked the fun excursion,it made Wine Libraray, the place, become “real”.
Last 2 episodes were great for me, as I am going to tuscany next month. I hope I do better than you (1 out of 3) with the tuscan’s, but I also plan on looking for wines from other regions & will definitely keep my eyes open for the Falanghina. Thanks for your boatload of info.

QOTD- Chicken- the most diverse meat. It can be made to work with anything.
Apples– Picking them as a kid at Springdale Farm in Cherry Hill, NJ

THAT was the most INTENSE digression I’ve ever seen.

You CRUSH IT even when dealing with back-end stuff. Awesome!

Nice laid back Friday Show, Gary. I was really surprised by high qualitiy of the white wines of campania. My Interest started about 1 year ago, tasting Falanghina, Coda di Volpe, etc). Complex and very unique flavours. Well made. Liked most of the producer terredora. Still under the radar and undetected by the most customers. At least it’s a small niche and we had some problems to sell them..

Great show, you were like Stone Phillips getting the hard hitting news. I’m also glad you’re back to rolling with the lower priced plays, med school doesn’t leave a lot of bank for the vino.
