Fun show, super-expensive ports this time.

I don't care much for names or brands, but what a treat it must be to try some older stuff like this. You're lucky G. I think these might be a bit over-priced for what they are, baring in mind the 1st growth potential, that Taylor Fladgate has around the globe. I can't afford them that's for sure. How much is a nuance worth? ? ?

Qotd: I too, like you enjoy Port in the autumn time/winter time when it's cold outside. Love them all very much. I don't care if it's vintage or LBV or whatever. Love them all :P

I love port, especially vintage port. I am not such a fan of tawny, as I feel it loses its identity as a wine. Its more similar to a liqueur at that point. The 2000 Fonseca is probably one of the best ports i have tried. I also loved the Barros 1994 which i bought in oporto. I have never seen it in the US, but it is a great port. American's should just keep port out of fashion, that way those of us who love it can still afford it!

hope your knee is doing ok Gary!

QOTD: I love Port, and need to try more VP's. When I was in college, my aunt taught me that if I take a girl out on a date who I really like, order Port at the end of the meal and impress her by having this after dinner drink. This strategy works very well

QOTD: Haven't got any vintage port, but some LBV stoppered type and LBV unfiltered driven cork type. Also got some d'arenberg 2004 vintage shiraz and a mag of dead arm 2005. c. 18% and 15% respectively and gonna sit on for about a decade before popping!

Thanks for this episode Gary! I will be sure to seek out the entry level port as it has always been a wine I have been wanting to try but have never been able to afford. Congrats on the Crush It cruise my friend!
