This tighter format really works well with my very tight schedule. You’re my “8-minute vacation.”

I like the tight shows. I’m here for the wine knowledge. It’s not that I don’t enjoy the sideshows, but especially when I’m doing some catching up (after not having watched for 10 episodes or whatever), I want “just the facts”. This is great. You’ve intrigued me about Mersault. The other day I bought (but have not yet tried) a Dolcetto. This is why I’m here and what I love.

See you tomorrow at the Rotman School of Business!

I do love these shows. My favorites are the blind tastings though (can’t do that all the time!)

Haven’t been watching for a few weeks, thanks for everything! Will catch up

Great episode. 10 minutes is enough for a to-the-point-but-not-to-an-extreme wonderful show. I love concise, brief and succinct episodes. Thank you!

Good show. Tight. Imparting some good knowledge. Thanks.

QOTD: “Where the Wild Things Are”- story structure-wise, this film had some issues, although the studio did shave about 45 minutes off of the initial cut.
AND I DO appreciate the tight, focused episodes lately, especially when dealing with a solid head-to-head match-up.

I prefer the Longer Shows, as I just relax on my couch at the end of the week and watch all the Episodes for the week.

Qotd: Well First thing was the Vancouver Canucks Couple of Opening Games. A Chilian Wine Tasting that wasn’t that great, tho followed up by a much better Aregentina Tasting

    The LSU – Florida game.

Love the tight format – sharing the love and knowledge on the fly.
qotd: had a few job potentials that fell through, but finally landed an even better position with a great restaurant. Persistence and patience paid off.

    Gary,

I am glad to stumble across your episodes from hulu.com

I’ve watched a handful of your clips and they are great. You’re definitely on my list of daily things to view on the web. Please keep it up.

QOTD: I was totally pissed off at the Tuesday night tasting at Wally’s in LA. They were tasting Salon and the invite offered an ‘85 Delamotte Blanc de Blancs which I was more eager to taste then the ‘97 Salon – turns out that it wasn’t there…

    PISSED.

    Gary,

Love the tight, focused shows. Keep ‘em coming. This week, I have tried my first Croatian and Lebanese wines. All about expanding my palette. Thank you for keeping up the passion.

I also like the variety, especially the episodes with guests that talk of the history of wine, the business, bringing it to life.

Love the blind tastings, really any episode that brings the information of wine and its impact.

QOTD – There are many, and I do not dwell on those issues. I will shrug it off and go on to the next expectation.

Good show, but please don’t stay with one type of show. keep it fresh, new and interesting like in the past

Guess with all these shows recorded in advance we have to wait for the melt down rant on the fish/bills games! ;-)

Nice tight episode. I do like the shorter episodes, but the epic interviews and the longer tastings are good, too. Keep mixing things up. It keeps it fresh.

QOTD: I was disappointed in my Cleveland Indians this season. Many predicted that they would challenge for the AL Central Division. Instead, they collapsed, traded away the established players and lost 97 games. Sheesh!

Regarding preference for a shorter format, keep mixing it up! I like some short ones, but I also enjoy when you have guests, when you’re off-site, and especially when you get really nerdy on us. We don’t want to bore our palates so why would your show be any different?

Love your work! Thanks for so many smiles and enjoyable moments!

The damn Prawn Pakoda at a local Indian/Nepalese restaurant. Damn shrimprawns were raw in the middle and the batter was half done. The waitress was a sweetheart and took them back but, c’mon guys, raw shrimprawns? Get real.

QOTD: I bought a 2007 CdP at 35 bones at my local wine shop that I was really looking forward to. Opened it, expected a highly concentrated and complex wall of tannins. Flat, uninteresting, and flabby. Biggest wine disappointment I can remember.

Qotd: where the wild things are.

I like whatever you do gary.

Loving the 10 minute show lengths.

QOTD: Biggest let-down for me recently would probably have to be the Jonathan Edwards winery harvest fest. Their information on their website had very little info about the event and when my wife and I got there, we were very underprepared. I guess that would be something.

love the shorter down to the point shows, loved the book too btw, great insight

QOTD: The chances of decent, seasonal weather!
I like the tighter shows (especially right now as my TV is also my computer monitor and Mom wants to watch Oprah…). I also like the longer interviews and the blind tastings, so keep doing what you’ve been doing- a little of everything!

  23. October 21, 2009

LOVE the tighter shows; also enjoy when you sprinkle in the longer shows that include a guest. Keep it up!!

I’m a new Vaniac and loving the shows. Wine availability here in New Brunswick, Canada is OK but I doubt I’ll be able to taste along with a show.

Love the format. Each show is a big learning experience.

PS Some interesting things going on here in Maritimes Canada with wines, partocularly those being produced in Nova Scotia. You should give them a whirl sometime!
