It’s good. I appreciate the apology for the interruption, ’cause you highjacked his point there. Not that he seemed to mind. He’s a very easy-going guest, but he obviously has plenty of knowledge to share, too. Looking forward to the second part and still wines. Bubbly is not really my thing.

Michael Steinberger is an excellent guest. So intelligent. I just finished reading his excellent book on the French food industry. Can’t wait for part 2!

Great show. I really dig sparkling wine, but I usually feel like it is strange to just drink it for the heck of it. No reason to feel that way.

Great show so far. I’m one of those that only drinks sparkling wine at weddings and it’s usually the cheap stuff. I had some Dom and Crystal before but it was before I really could appreciate it. I’ve never had a blanc de noir so I’m pumped about trying it now…

  • Don’t usually drink Champagne except for special events. I have wanted to explore it more however.

Wasn’t an overall fan of the guest on camera presence. Very intelligent, but not dynamic like some of your other guests. Skipped over most of the into dialogue to get to the tasting.

Gotta admit, not a big sparkling fan because of the carbonation. I actually prefer sparkling reds, although those are tough to find. Still a great show though–you make me want to give the bubbles another try.

Loved being in the “live studio audience” for this episode. Garyvee- did you know that the number 777 means ?congratulations, you?re on a roll! Keep up the good work and know your wish is coming true” according to Dr. Doreen Virtue?

I LOVE sparkling wines and drink them whenever possible. There’s nothing like a few bubbles to celebrate a good day or pick you up on a bad day.

Here’s my pet peeve about pairing sparkling wine with food at restaurants – the lack of selection. Most establishments only cellar the very cheap and the very expensive sparklers. Where are all of the mid-points? I’d have no problem spending $75 on a sparkling wine for dinner (we don’t think twice about spending that on a red, do we?) if only I could find one.

  • Very knowledgeable and fun guy. I love to read those types of books.

Of course, being a day late I can’t get the first wine!!!

I think you should buy enough of these wines at least for the Vayniacs!!!

    On to Part Due!

    Cheers!

I’m a long time lurker (years), but I had to comment on this one because Steinberger’s article on WLTV was how I first found the site. I still read Slate every day and all of Mike’s columns. Keep up the good work! I now love wine and credit Gary and Mike for a lot of that.

When you get an awesome guest, let him/her talk! Just facilitate their talk. Watch Jay Leno for goodness sake!
