Yes. Had it for 2 months now and still haven't found the time to open it.

  • yes.

  • Bought it, havn't read it yet. Waiting for when I need to get pumped to get back to my own side project.

  • just catching up…
    QOTD: yes

I don't buy the three days of oxygen being a problem…we've had accidental bottles in the 'winery' with that little head space and minimal sulphites, still hold up just fine. Did you have it sitting on a heater in the sun? Otherwise, maybe it did not fall apart, it was just a pazz from the start. The issue may have been the screw caps and the lack of oxygen since bottling…

QOTD: Yes 3 copies including a copy you signed for me @ Borders Columbus Sq. in NYC when it was released.

    PS: twitter name sashanyc

  • kylejohnston

QOTD: Yes, the audio version from Audible. I have been telling my friends about it!

  • Terp00

Yes, the little wifey got it for me for Chanukkah.

  • I got a signed copy of Crush It.

  • Pat__B

1..2..3..4..Sweet show. I feel proud to be an American pinot drinker.

QOTD: Nope. Feel like I am picking up your message by watching every night. Not opposed to buying it at some point though.

  • LURKER HERE: NO BUT IM SURE ITS A GOOD READ. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GV.

  • BelugaJones

Haven't gotten your book, but I'm gonna 😀

  • Weston3220

    qotd: nope

  • ben from boston

qotd – no, but i read it while sitting in barnes and noble, because im cheap like that. ckc lifestyle doesnt afford lots of new book purchases.

  • davedonahue

I don't think it was the “three day open” on these wines that threw things off – it was your JETS glass!! Gary Dude, why would you bring a Bord glass to a pinot tasting??? Balloon, balloon, balloon, bauuhhhh-dee. Save the JETS glass for an upcoming blind new world meritage tasting (maybe one from WA state, one from Paso, and one from those turks in Jumilla). Then I think your JETS glass will find a proper home.

  • Aint_Naon

    yes sir! I did!

  • joelbombardier

    yes

  • Yes, got it for my wife Darla for Christmas

  • theDude

QOTD – Sorry Gary I did not buy Crush It!

I like you but I'm not convinced your business and life advice is as valuable as your wine advice (which is free!). Sorry, but I probably wouldn't pay for WLTV either. You are good at the hustle however and I do admire your ability to leverage the system. You obviouly like the challenge so keep trying and maybe you'll win me over (or should I say win over my wallet which is actually what you're hoping for right?)

Gary – Yes, did buy Crush It, it is actually how I found you on this site. Quick comment on the Pinot blind tasing – any wine that does NOT taste better after being open for a few days is NOT a well made wine ( given it is a current or recent vintage ).

  • Shootmenow

    QOTD: Yes indeed

Would love to see a 2-3 day vs 2-4 hours open episode… and double blind too (that means hiding the bottle tops too) 😉

  • toleranttaster

Bought the book. Read it on the train from NYC to Wine Entrepeneur Conference in D.C. Great combination.

  • Great episode. I love the California Pinot Noir's.

QOTD: I did pick up Crush it and have just started reading it. I hope you won the side bet.

  • JayZee13

Gary, nice show and an interesting showing by Cali Pinots. Kudos indeed.

QOTD: No, sorry. I did buy your wine book, however.

By the way, is there going to be another wine cruise next year (2011)? I cannot go this year – other commitments.

  • yes, and congrats on it still being in the top 15 in WSJ.

  • kungfu_sage

  • A dumb Rhein king

Usually you're so good … uh huh … the only time I've seen you shoot for the garbage can and it's 0-4 … I don't know man 😛

QOTD: Sorry for the l8 reply. We were crushing it at work migrating a huge client into our system, I put in quite a few hours this week. Yes. 4 copies.

  • tommyb2

QOTD: Sorry no, its all about the wine for me (I have your 101 top wines book). I'm no entrepenuer so it didn't really interest me I'm afraid. Still love you though.

  • Robinelle

    3 days?

I have a Twitter name, and I think it's Robinelle, I need to get back to my RobinC user names, but it's easier said than done.
QOTD: yes. 9 more to go?

  • A_Skoje

    QOTD: Not yet.

  • Christopher Scoggin

QOTD: Yes (and you signed it 🙂 )

  • aarontewalt

Not yet but I plan to

  • ERW

Yes, got the audible book, have listened to it once but plan to listen to it again and take notes. I need some advice but probably can't afford it. Like the show.

  • Yes, I did get your book & think it's fabulous! Hopefully you will sign it for me at the end of the month at the South Beach Food and Wine Festival. See you then:)

  • No.

  • pawncop

Sorry, I am just joining in a very busy week last week and having to deal with some very serious issues.

Loved the episode. Love the blind tasting concept. Pinot Noir is a varietial I have tried but am no expert on by any means.

QOTD – Have not obtained your book as of this time.

  • QOTD: Yes.

  • waterintowino

It would be cool to see more underdog pinot noirs (or any grapes) make it into the blind tasting. Choosing only 90+ wines makes it a bit anticlimactic. And how bout throwing a Niagara Escarpment pinot noir in there next time 😉

  • CALIFORNIA! That's right, stepping up. Always love your blind tastings GV.

QOTD: Yes, and you signed it for me in Berkeley. Ty.

  • Sorry Gary – I haven't picked up 'crush it' yet. Once I'm done with David Allen's 'getting things done' then you'll be next!

    tweep it up @oredagan

  • Mike in C-town

I love the blind shows. “trust your own palate” mantra – I haven't been enthralled by any Cali pinot yet.

    QOTD: no

No on the blackboard post. Ner a tweet shall come…

  • jsums

Love me some blind shows. QOTD – No. I suck. And I don't tweet. Yet. And yet.

  • MattE

    QOTD: No, I've got 101 Wines though…

  • lawrenceleichtman

Yes I did, bought it on the Kindle. Testarosa for $68. Oh well. The Tandem may be the best buy.

  • thecakescraps

QOTD: Yes, on the night Cinderella wine launched! Great book; probably to risk averse to put it into action but it gets me thinking…
