Favorit Sauvignon Blanc is the 'Quarz' from Cantina Terlan in Alto Adige and also from there 😉 the Sanct Valentin Sauvignon Blanc from St. Michele Eppan.

Ladera Howell Mtn. Blanc is mighty tasty and not pricey considering its howell mtn fruit. that said kim crawford was my epiphany wine….. don't like Chilensis. Chilean wines r much 2 green for me in general

I tasted the Cliff Lede Sauvignon Blanc in Napa a while back and loved it. I opened a bottle a week or two after tasting and it still tasted great. I watched this episode and disagreed with every tasting note. I remember being very smooth and tasting like honeydew. Nothing like citrus, grass or grapefruit.

I opened my other bottle because of this show, and it had changed. All citrus and grapefruit…

    QOTD:
Favorite – Shadow Ranch Sauvignon Blanc
    Least – I don't remember

Gary – have you tasted any good Sauvignon Blancs from Alto Adige? I've had the Tiefenbrunner but noticed that it is not sold in too many stores – at least not in New York. Do you have any other suggestions?

No way to find in america I guess. another swiss wine BUT from the german part… Aagne von schopf Sauvignon blanc 2007 at best, 2008 is smoother but stil VERY nice in fruits. They are playing on yeast to make that kind of passion fruit so strong but still with a good acidity. Give it a try. (and also their pinot noir spätlese (late)).

Gary once AGAIN you show your ignorance, not only did you get the country of origin wrong, which any level two som. could/would pass, you cannot PRONOUNCE a produce for the life of you. Cliff Lede (Lady). Having had the Lede a few times and most recently today I can say I see where you are coming from with the NZ thing but get real capsicum compounds can be found in Cali/Napa SB. Step your pallet game up. I know you are stuck on the whole 1990s Caymus/Shafer Napa dynamic, get over it our wine is much more evolved. Come spend a few months out in Cali.
QOD: Best: Pascal Cotat Le Monte Dames. Worst: Sauvignon Republic RRV
