D you think I should spit out some fine wine? Not happening!

  • Ronald Layman

    Just ordered both, thanks

  • Hi Gary,

If I would be giving a party this summer (which I am) I'd definitely be bringing the Prosecco as I'm a huge fan. I had this amazing Prosecco on a wedding once and it was a blast. And it comes in a blue bottle, so how much more partyesque can it get? (http://www.blu-prosecco.com/graphics/flasche_st…)

    Greetz from The Netherlands,
    Wouter

  • Allan

    πŸ™‚ enjoy

  • Allan

Going to have a bit of prosecco myself this evening. Under 10 bones, extra dry, so lookin' forward to that. Ca' Rosa i believe it's called. . . .

Hope the party is rockin' to your satisfaction. . . . πŸ™‚ Cheers!

  • Allan

I'm impressed by Prosecco, nice! Could easily “step in” and take Champagnes place on many occations. Seafood comes to mind. Not as complex as champagne, but simplicity can also be the king

The Ca' Rosa i have at the moment is Extra Dry, which i like very mucho πŸ™‚
New Prosecco fan speaking out! Thnx G for “tunrning me on” πŸ™‚ Cheers!

Hope the party is in full swing, watch out for that castello guy…………….

  • Allan

Hope we will see some videos from the shakedown next week………………………………

  • I would be (and will be tomorrow) having the Black Chook sparkling shiraz actually but am buying La Marca for an October event I'm working on in October. A women's networking night (Tiffany theme) hence the selection BUT the plus being it is tasty and inexpensive!

  • pawncop

Good episode and will look for Prosecco.

Hope today was a super event and all attending had a great time.

QOTD – Sparkling wine is one of my many areas I have not tried many. Will be expanding this horizon soon.

  • YoungDave

    QOTD: Cremant de Limoux!!

  • jtp375

I told him you have a man crush on him but I'm first in line! Where is cubatabaccoooooooooooooooooooooo??????????????

  • JiminAtlanta

I would serve Spanish cava (maybe a rose) or Anderson Valley sparkling wine (Roederer or Scharfenberger). Sorry I did not make the event this weekend. I'm sure it was awesome and I would like to make the next one.

  • waynooo daaa wino

KEEEEP Your Hands OOOOFFF da MOTTSTER !!!! He's AAALLL MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :oD

  • Sixxten147

Aye this episode was great but just watched for the first time episode 148 (the developing your palate episode). My mom taught me to stop wetting myself when i was just a wee lad but i almost disappointed the lady when you got white pepper in your eye. All downhill from there but each minute funnier than the last. Well done Vay-ner-chuk

  • castello

gourgeous bottle. Sorry bout the game but that team got some serious respect today!

  • castello

    Where iw/was wincrazy?

  • Mark McNabb

    QOTD: Domaine Allimant-Laugner Cremant d'Alsace

  • Clarkbar

QOTD: Depends – lately I've been enjoying Argyle sparklers, especially the Extended Tirage. Domaine Taittinger from Carneros at under $20 is a steal. Baumard Crement or Rose have been pretty good examples, too. Last Baumard we had seemed to open up even more after about 20 minuntes.

  • have to catch up with this for lunch…was hoping to see a post from the party. Hope everyone had a great time. I was at a seminar in Boston and drinking beer and Sake afterward.

  • winos_seattle

    @garyvee: Like Vay-ner-chuk, this one is Cu-Vey Bee-a-Triss.

  • always enjoy the underdog showings!

I see some party reports in the forums…looking forward to replays.

QOTD: going to a Magnum party next week, and they are short on whites so I'm bringing the only magnum from the home-made bubbly run of Lake Champlain grapes. Was thinking it would be fun to pair with fried yellow perch.

  • ewb

Great content Gary. Love it. MOTT “grayhound quick” as always.
    QOTD: Not sure.

  • DCaragher

GV – Good show, nice to see some PROSECCO kickin' ass and takin' names!

QOTD: I would go with Cava, particularly Seguras Reserve

  • Allan

I WAAAANNNNNTTTTTSSSSSS MYYYYY WWWWWLLLLLLTTTTTTVVVVVVV TTTTTHHHHHUUUUNNNNNDDDDDDEEEEEERRRRRR TTTTTIIIIIIMMMMMMMEEEEEEEE PAAAAARRRRRRRTTTTTTTYYYYYYYY TTTTTIIIIIMMMMMEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEXXXXXXCCCCCEEEEELLLLLEEEENNNNNNNTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a great time at the Wine library this past Saturday – good wines being poured and a nice selection from the food vendors. Also awesome to see GV, Mott, Sasha, Evert, and all the crew.

QOTD – how about some pink Cava?

  • WHINEYJAZZ

I like J sparkling wine and Etoile,(although I have not seen it for a while),
but I would certainly buy the Ca Furlan.
as always, a great show. but please lose the sexist remarks about “girls” liking sweet
wines….. not all of us do and it should be “women” not girls.

  • Jiggers

Just picked up my first Prosecco 2 weeks ago, Zardetto Brut. Can't wait to try it know since GV always stirs the pot! QOTD: Cava, been loving these bubbles at a great price point.

  • RobinC

QOTD: if the gathering were for a social event where I didn't need to impress anyone I would get one of the Kirtland sparkling wines at Costco. I like them and they're inexpensive. If I felt the need to impress someone a little bit I would get Scharffenberger. People know the name. Light but very pleasant. If the group were composed of people who really knew wine I'd get Duval Leroy, one of my favorites and not over the top expensive.

  • markie

i served adami proseco at my best friend's rehearsal dinner…nice , dry and crisp! /w/ charles and charles rose 2009!!!! soooooo good!!!

  • Collin Husbands

QotD – Segura Viudas, Cava. Less sweet fruit than the proseccos in my opinion. Better for the multiple glass evening on the deck.

  • Sdyack

I have liked Wolf Blass sparkling wine. Not expensive and not too sweet. Prefer Australian bubble to Prosecco but I am no expert

  • Charlotte_DK

I like this cava as well and it is not pricy πŸ™‚

  • Charlotte_DK

For a special event I would drink champagne. I know its a clichΓ©, but thats the way it is. My favorite these days is De Sousa, tradition (50% chardonnay, 40 % Pinot, 10 % Pinot Meunier). Its made by biodynamic principles. BIG FAN.

  • Alexandre-CF

hey gary, how many redbulls have you had that day? LOL.
96 pts for the show and the passion

it's been a long time since i had my last Prosecco, i'll buy some for sure.

  • I've not had Prosecco yet, so going to have to try. Good episode. Look about due for a hair cut Gary =P

  • JayZee13

I'd probably serve a nice Spanish Cava, but both of these Proseccos sounded very nice as well.

  • TommyB

I'm back!! Been away for a bit, just been catching up on some shows.
QOTD: Lindauer from New Zealand is v. good for a tenner here in the UK, Pelorus is a great one also. For a party for me, sparkling Roses are the best thing to serve; they look good and make you feel good, ladies love them also!

  • QOTD: Shramsberg or Leroy NV depending on who was attending…AMM

  • so based on this video I bought a bottle of the ca furlan…based on that bottle I bought a case. I shared a bottle with my self-titled “champagne whore” friend who likes to say “diss the crys and dump the dom.” He now says that he cannot say he has never had a prosecco that was worth his time and is looking at picking up a case.

SIDE NOTE: another saying we have and I think everyone could agree with…”we don’t do korbel.”
