Our great leader GV almost seemed a bit bored during this episode, easily distracted and pretty uninterested. In his defence the wines were always going to be poor and he did give them his full attention when tasting. Is he getting bored with producing the shows? …I hope not

Gary….mate!….You have been to Australia. Recently. But why do you pick wine that we wouldn’t drink here? Actually, from my own point of view, keep on doing it, because it means that there is no risk of a big drive from deep pocketed blokes in the US driving up the prices of the well made and well priced wine. All the better for us.

Hey Gary

Good show. Interesting that in Australia and Asia (well at least the parts I know) the other two brands are a lot more popular than Yellow Tail. While it’s commercial and boring I’ve got to rate the guys at Yellow Tail for supporting the growers out in the Riverina and showing some massive inititive. IMO Jacobs Creek is bad, BUT there Riesling is normally great value for money and always worth a look.

QOTD: desert Island fruit – bloody hard one… I’m a fan of peaches and passionfruit and mango, but if I could only have one it would have to go to RASPBERRIES.
