line of the day – ‘I got tired of watching Michael Irvin on Dallas TV in a fur with 3 ho’s behind him’

Good guest, episode most notable for Mott’s balls up – forgetting to put in a new tape. Firstly saying there’s enough tape and then admitting the problem as the tape almost runs out.

  • I agree with Robert S. You are normally a very sensitive and aware conversationalist, but give the guy some spotlight even if he’s not as big of a personality as you!

Still lots of wine love going your way Gary!

  • Beret’s don’t belong on men. Period.

Gary, I love the show. Some other people tell you to let the guys talk but I say no, that would take away from who you are and you are the whole reason I watch WLTV. Keep bringing the thunder.

  • Great focus on french wines and great show gary (from a french point of view never had such a beret on my head :)oh i’m lying when i was in the army but i can’t help eating my daily baguette 🙂 with a little glass of wine 🙂 by the way robert looks like a farmer not like a journalist 🙂 but he is very often in contact with the delicious french food and french wines… robert might be a french icon !

Great show, i’m from belgium and normally i tend to be critic about americans who try to discribe ‘terroir’ but this chap has it correct. It’s just everything 🙂

    White rhones are build up like this ;
    Marsanne ; Moulleux
    Rousanne ; Aroma

This white rhone has probably way too much marsanne ( 80 % ? ). I’d like the 50/50 blends more.

Congratz for Gary btw for his excellent show with N. Joly.

OMG, I thought Gary was going to kiss the guy when he got that beret.
Wonder if he will wear it to road games? 😉

Waiting for that Right Guard “land o’ lakes” scent! Bet Gary could even sell it!

I know it’s a few days late, but I have to comment on the Acacia flower thing. The Acacia family is HUGE, and, here in Hawaii, we have many varieties of Acacia trees/plants. I have a huge Acacia tree (known in Hawaii as the highly prized Koa tree) in my front yard. The blossoms of the tree have no discernible scent, and the blossoms are known to cause major hay fever in many people. Gary, can you expand your botanical repertoire to include flowers/blossoms with which more of us can relate? Haha. Just needed to comment on that.

I enjoyed your guest more than any that you’ve had on the show in a while (not that I didn’t enjoy those). I’m going to check out his book….right after I check out Part 2.

Hahaha, I love how excited Gary got when he flipped over the beret and saw the Jets logo. Nerd city, USA! 😛 …which is fine by me. More comments to follow after part 2.

Interesting guest, but so far he is holding back. Maybe he’ll get more into it in Part 2.

I fast forward this boring guys stories. He seems a little bit like a fruit bomb. Anyways, I have laughed at you about three times and am about to watch the second part. By the way, does this guy even know what the term terrior means. He has used it inappropriately at least three times already…?????

    Gary,
I just went back and watched this episode for the first time. I absolutely loved this episode. I think you were clicking and you brought the thunder on the charisma front. And i really think that the guest offered great balance to that. I really liked it, I’m going to go check out part 2 now.

Good episode so far but I think having Terroir in the title, for part 1 at least, was misleading. And unless I spaced out, I dont really have much of an idea as to what his book is about
