‘I’m quite bored by it and I’m almost taking a nap.’

After a couple of bore draws this episode turns up a decisive and surprising winner of the head to head. Makes for a much better show.

    Cheap shot.

Your wine selector was found bragging about choosing the match up on another blog. http://www.wineberserkers.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=14723&p=194623

Makes me wonder whether his (proxy your) intention was to find true value for your customer, or just talk sh** about your peer.

  • Been away for a bit, but glad to see you bring the Thunder as usual. Thanks for the tip on Evening Lands – i’m a fan of Seven Springs for Merlot and Syrah, so happy surprise on the PN.
qotd: maybe a trip back to NYC

Lame! I’d rather watch an episode where Gary eats something off the ground! Whoever set this tasting up should probably be slapped.

I think many people would beg to differ that. Oregon has been leading classic pinot noir production for over 30 years.

Very suspect. Anyone who drinks Oregon Pinot knows the 07's are for the most part awful. “Burgundian” does not typically describe Oregon Pinot but in 07 it did. That just meant most were light and thin. This is Beaux Freres cheapest bottle. Most $20 08's will beat the high end 07's. The 08 Oregon PInots are looking awesome and most of the releases so far have been the willamette valley. The single vineyards will be top notch. This could be their best vintage ever.
