lines of the day – ‘Bunny Sniffs’ and ‘On the tart-o-meter this is off the charts’

Solid episode, GV helped out the guest a little more than he usually does…can’t blame him.

TART-O-METER, hahaha, tremendous. Serena was a delightful guest. Gary, thought you did a great job of getting her opinions on the wines as she bunny sniffed and drank them. Nice work.

QOTD: Tequila. I haven’t tried Mescal yet.

I never knew Serena was so attractive. I’ve herd her name for the last couple of years but didn’t know much about her. Very cool episode and excellent guest.

Can we find the GV news piece on the CBS web site?

You can find the CBS Sunday morning on the website. I just watched it. Also in my search I found a Serena Altschul fan page on Facebook. Lets just say I became a fan

  • CBone

I thought she was a terrific guest! I don't have an answer to her question though – I've never had mezcal.

  • jaybloxham

I have had a crush on Serena since she was on MTV. Gary your a lucky man!!!!

Gary, I know New Zealand wine, and for some reason it's represented on your show (which I otherwise LOVE) by some of the most commercial, uninspiring… monkey water in the country. obviously most of the good stuff is produced in small quantities, but maybe once you could profile a Seresin, Dry River, Milton or Stonecroft alongside the cheapies.
If you find sourcing these wines difficult, come out here and stay at my house. I happen to know some of the people involved, and the experiance will revolutionize your perspective. Actually, come next year and we can czech out the rugby world cup as well. (Its happening over the road).

  • David

Dam, I didn't answer the question because I thought it was a given -Tequila must be from Jalisco, the provence – just like bourbon has to come from Kentuky. The town of Tequila is in Jalisco, but it is the elivation of the entire area that makes juice from that area superior. I can grow blue argave in a flower pot here, but roasting its bulb and fermenting it will give me something other than tequila. Most probably, I will be forced to sacrifice a blamless worm in order to market the resulting sorry beverage.

  • Bigsemi

I’ve had a huge crush on Serena sice the early 90’s when she was on Channel 1, when I was in high school.
