Meh, guests didn’t improve. Not GV’s fault but that’s the way the cookie crumbles

woman of wine: emily wines, master sommelier at fifth floor in SF, and kimpton hotels consultant… a wonderful educator, unpretentious, and generous with her knowledge!

sexy wine experience: drinking dry gewurztraminer straight from the bottle on a picnic bench at gundlach bundschu with a girlfriend and good friends, eliciting envious glances from the more reserved. i’ll censor myself for once and keep the racier tales for a more intimate audience.

    fun show!

Gary – I enjoyed the 2 part episode in Paris quite a bit. Would have been great to be there for the tasting (especially wanted to try that Chenin Blanc). That was quite interesting that so many folks there had not tried a Savennieres.

QOTD 1: Heidi Barrett (because of her appearance on the Thunder Show. What a delightful and pleasant woman)

QOTD 2: Champagne in a hot tub. It doesn’t get any better than that…

@msquared – I totally forgot about Laura Catena, great call! I do love the Catena Malbecs, so balanced and elegant, definitely gives off that “finesse” of a woman winemaker.

QOTD #1: My favorite lady of wine has to be Heidi Barrett. When she was on the Thunder Show, it was one of the best episodes ever.

QOTD #2: It involved champagne and my wife and I cannot possibly say any more than that!

CKC representing! amazing episode, I'm so far behind catching up on the episodes. Crazy holiday season!

QOTD 1) My favourite woman of wine is Madame Andre Bosc from Chateau Des Charmes. She is a hero of mine, she speaks her mind, she's honest, hard working, and she enjoys life.

QOTDe 2) Sexiest wine experience … hmm, I was at an oyster party a few years back and all that was available was Mumms. So I had oysters on the half shell, tabasco, worchester sauce, lemon and several glasses of Mumms. Basically the sexiness came from the fact we were eating oysters and obviously the conversation lead to oysters being an aphrodisiac. So I was in a room with people twice my age talking about our sexual conquests over sexy oysters and champagne. DELICIOUS! I'd do it again in a second.

  • QOTD1: the Veuve herself.. she was a pioneer and bad ass momma jamma for her time!

QOTD2: Can't go into the details but let's just say that when you mix together a really nice single malt Japanese whisky with an unexpected visit by Lara Croft, things tend to get a little spicy… oops does whisky count?… or maybe i'm cheeting… 😉

Why not pan around the room with the camera at the start of these on location shows so we get an idea of the environment?

P90X Extreme Home Fitness Workout Program This product is what I expected from the infomercial – the infomercial is a good representation of what you’ll get. The DVDs are good, come in a small case (no excess packaging to exaggerate or compensate for lack of real product). The accompanying written materials are good too. However, I found that I wasn’t quite in shape enough when p90x arrived to use it well. I went back and bought Tony Horton’s “Power Half Hour” and used that for a few weeks first – had to wake up some muscles I’ve let go dormant. I’ve been in good shape most of my life, but kind of got lazy lately – I needed to get a basic foundation before I could jump into the incredible workouts he provides. http://www.p90xbuyonline.com/13dvd-fitness-guide-nutrition-plan-p-63.html
