I enjoyed this show a lot more than GV seemed to. Especially the bit where he ponders a scenario at a dinner table with two introverted, boring brothers. ‘Of course being tremendously over the top I would carry the conversation all night’. I love those sort of line… because they are undoubtedly true.

I'll be disappointed if GV is having a case of the Mondays and doesn't post a show today.

  • Don Simpson

    Ooooh, disappointing indeed…

  • Don Simpson

Too bad there is no “Dislike” button for comments 🙂

  • Don Simpson

    Amen!!!

  • But please do, I'm sitting with 4 Bergström pinots 06 in winecabinett, should I dump?

  • mattgmann

hey, nice 4th quarter canadian episode. comments section doesn't seem to be working

Hilarious ending. Best part of show was clearly, “You… Me… Changin…”

QOTD: Last night when the US Hockey Team got SOOOOOO close to winning the gold medal, only for Sidney Crosby to dash our dreams in OT. Extremely disappointing… I'm pissed off now just thinking back to the ending of that game.

  • Don Simpson

I'm with you there… what a dagger. SO CLOSE TO THE GOLD!!!

  • Don Simpson

Still a massive disappointment getting SO CLOSE and losing in OT. I also do not like Crosby since I'm a Caps/Alechkin fan. Crosby was the ONE PLAYER on the team I did not want to win the game for Canada.

Purdue losing Robbie Hummel for the year with a torn ACL….single tear, they were gonna tear up the tourney.

NO! Gruner deserves such a better showing! I will be awaiting the next GV show with much anticipation…

QOTD: This was not the most recent disappointing moment for me, but in terms of films that I have scene in the last few months… Where the Wild Things Are. LET DOWN! Not the worst film I've seen recently, but I was just so excited to see it because of the impact the book had on me as a child… then somehow between the writing, directing AND EDITING, so much was lost in the way of basic story structure that it fell short of my expectations.

  • Just an opinion, folks.

… I know, Gary, but where are the “surprising results”???? A 3-years-old-Nouveau and a 4-?-GV from Mittelburgenland (thats approximatly how much the Fuchs is here in Austria) that are not recommendable to buy after they have been shipped around the globe????

I know that there have been other shows about GV but where are the “surprising results”???? A 3-years-old-Nouveau and a 4-?-GV from Mittelburgenland (thats approximatly how much the Fuchs is here in Austria) that are not recommendable to buy after they have been shipped around the globe????

Awesome! I don’t have Croatian wines available here in Alabama but I
am going to look while I am on vacation in Florida.

Sent from my NSA brain implant.

sorry the show was such a downer GV, but you made me laugh at the end there. It was like you were not even into changing the wine world, which I know you are.

QOTD: When I realised I had to be at work today an hour and a half early.

I am disappointed every day, but not discouraged. Just came back from an Italian wine tasting so not all is bad. Next time will be better.

disappointed… Whenever I get disappointed I like to sing a ditty, maybe something like…

Blue canary in the outlet by the light switch
    Who watches over you
Make a little birdhouse in your soul
Not to put too fine a point on it
Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet
Make a little birdhouse in your soul

Fun label on Hirsch…very intriguing but disappointed to hear that it was on the bland side. My fav GV is Singing by Laurenz V. yummy stone fruits, good acidity balance.

hey gary, i love your show! Please don't tell anybody out there on the great GrüVes that are around. All that Bründelmayers, Gobelsburg, Angerer's, F.X Pichler's, Knoll….Leave that to us Austrians – we want to drink it on our own as long as they are still somehow affordable. But if you come across the Atlantic I'll share the one or the other bottle of my 800 GrüVes I have in my cellar (some more than 20 year old – and yes, still not at their climax) with you.
