  • Bears came out in salvation mode for chicago – that was nice.

I had 2005 L’Ecuyer de Couronneau from Bordeaux – talk about some sheep butt! at least when the bottle was fresh opened – after decanting the wine took on a whole bunch of great flavors and subtlety that was a lot of fun.

Last night we had open a Rioja Tempranillo – Baron de Barbon that was really fantastic with one of the most dynamic aromatic offerings I’ve ever enjoyed in an $11 bottle.

GV – Show was great. I have been a few episodes behind the last few weeks. Love the cheese show, please don’t be shy about doing more it was very interesting.

Favorite Cheese: I don’t remember the name, but it was obnoxiously expensive, it tasted like creamy honey and lavender. REEEEEEdiculous…

    Have a good one.

Burnt rubber in wine sucks Matt Lauer and if drinking white wine cold masks imperfections in wine what the hell do you think cheese fat is doing to the wine. And for the record Kahuna would have wiped you up in the baseball card business however I liked girls unlike you and Brandon who were dressing up like Spock and captain Kirk practicing the vulcan death grip with your pants down.

Watched the show and read through the comments. Couple things … #1 Go Jets. #2 The casual Friday idea that was posted was a good one. I get to visit your store every so often and every time I go in I get a big smile and lots of help. However, I’m sure there are a lot of people would like to meet the fam. You should have the cheese guys stop by and maybe a beer guy too to have a baseball card-reading, wine-tasting, cheese -smelling good time every so often. #3 I think Everett should never be allowed to “put a razor” to that beard. You could hide something in there it’s so fluffy. Wonderful.

First, quick pat on the back *pats self on back* for getting my fav Jasper Hill mentioned. 😉

Second, Everett needs to make an appearance more often with his latest find for us to try (with our wine of course!).

    Third, QOTD1: guess it’s a little late, but I bet…err, picked…Houston and Philly FTW.

Fourth, QOTD2: a friend just brought over a few bottles as a semi-housewarming (the GF just moved in). So we’ll be trying Castle Rock Petite Sirah Russian River, A to Z Riesling, and (almost sad about this one) Bitch Grenache (with a pink label and all!).

  • QOTD: no football info. But otherwise I’ve been drinking lots of good wine here! my favorite so far has been the 2006 Domaine St Antoine Sablet Cotes du Rhone Villages. Great wine- so complex for 5 euros!
