Gary, I love peas too… I would say they’re my favorite veggie other than carrots. I’ve gotta try that Chardonnay… I love a buttery medium bodied white wine.

Too late for the viewers choice, but love the Step Road Chardonnay.

Too late for me to answer the QOTD, since “tomorrow’s” episode is a couple days ago. I loved the Conan show episode one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while (I think I left that comment on your Petit Syrah episode). And I loved that he seemed to complement your energy. Shows that you’re the real deal that you could hold your own on stage with Conan!

I read the Steinberger article and didn’t quite know what to make of it. Seems like he didn’t quite know what to make of you. First let me mention that he is my favorite wine writer, and along with Gary, my favorite source for learning about about wine. I agree with almost everything Steinberger writes (love Mourvedre, Cab Franc, and think Merlot is bashed too often) except for his mercurial bashing of Sauvignon Blanc. Steinberger usually isn’t afraid to express an opinion. But strangely in this article it appears he says nothing. Like he forgot anything he learned in journalism school about having a thesis and laying it all out there in the first sentence. So that leaves me still a Vayniac and still a Steinberger fan because I trust my own opinions and palate!

I nearly laughed my guts out when Conan orally pleasured the rock. You guys had great comedic chemistry.
I agree with the earlier comment to do away with the 100 point scoring system. I would suggest developing dollar based scoring, how much you would pay for that bottle. It would be the most consumer oriented scoring model and would truly change the wine world.
It would be much harder to do, but then I don’t get the impression that you’re a lazy guy.

Conan show was hilarious. We should all have a tasting party…but use your own sock…and remember that not all dirt is created equal.

Gary, if you really wanted to ingratiate yourself with Oregon winos, don’t say we’re from “Ory-gone”. It’s “Ore-gun”.

Conan was upset about eating the grass before tasting the sauvignon blanc? He should have thanked you for not slipping him cat pee to train his palate instead:-)
QOD Two Hands Shiraz any garden, any vintage (if it’s not too late!).
    Thanks!

I’m interested in how some of the producers other than Rosenblum and Seghesio are doing with Zinfandel. I would love to hear your thoughts on this wine:
