The oak monster and myself have been distant lately. I will be a good boy and try to make amends. But if he doesn’t watch his ass - two words: chainsaw. firepit.

Still catching up…but wow…quite a fun-filled episode: wood in mouth, holding hands and skipping with a tree, and wearing pink. interesting. great episode!

    backpedal, backpedal, backpedal….;-)

glad you did this episode. i love the right amount of oak. you don’t taste oak in anything else on earth but wine and the creamy vanilla and nut flavors it gives to wine are some of the best characteristics that exist.

My favorite South African Chenin Blanc is a $7 bottle called MAN. I’ve served this stuff to a lot of people and everyone loves it.

    33-0

you can only be talking about the 1998 ravens beating the jets 33-0, going undefeated in the preseason and failing to even make the playoffs while the jets went on to win the division

qotd: I’m on board the oak train as long as there are reds in the box car.

We ate in Santa Fe last night and had dolcetto d’alba and dolcetto gratinata.
Both were great. The retaurant maintains a fragrance free environment so they gave us the sniffy sniff as we entered. It would have seemed awkward but we knew one of the waitors from home - both waiters were really nice. My wristband picture is almost on the way and another Vaniac surprise may be coming too.
