Dont you dare put Hogan and Flair in the same sentence! I have always hated Hogan with a passion. I just find the character to be over the top phony, and his set of moves was boring at best. It was obviously a great PR move my McMahon to make him a "USA" character in the 80s with all that Regan crap goign on, but no way could he match up to Rowdy Roddy Piper (best character in pro wrestling history), Flair, Macho Man, Million Dollar Man, Ultimate Warrior ( God watching his INSANE promos are classic ), Psycho Sid, etc. God I couldnt stand him...... end rant. QOTD: Jazz. There is nothing like comming home from a stressful day and putting on some John Coltrane. The man was a genius. Period. Also people like Miles Davis, Ornette Coleman, Pat Methany, Mahavishnu Orchestra, etc. Just brilliant people who are on another level. God to be inside their brain for one day.......

  • I liked the randomness of this show, anything was possible.

QOTD - OK, you took the easy ones (Family & Wine!). Other than that I'm not sure I have a passion, the study of History comes close, or good Sci-Fi & fantasy, maybe the odd Strategy game on the PC.
  • Dan-o
Other than family and wine? What else is there?
I am passionate about college basketball - to get a bit more detailed - March Madness when my teams are thriving, namely the UConn Husky men and women. 2004 - first time in college basketball history that both the men and women won it all in March Madness. Doesn't get any better than that!

Gary, thanks for the show. I wanted to be up there at the WL with all of my fellow Vayniacs, but it just wasn't possible. Hope you guys had a great time.

QOTD: I am passionate about my faith, my friends, and trying to make a difference in people's lives. I believe we were meant to live for more than what we live for, in general, and I love connecting with peeps and sharing a glass of wine and good conversation with them.

Fun Fact from yesterday: The longest recorded champagne cork flight was 177 feet and 9 inches...

QOTD: I am passionate about learning. I love learning a lot about the universe, but really the more I learn the happier I am. It could be anything from science to cultures.
I guess that is why drinking wine can be a lot of fun - I have learned so much in the past two years!

    Thanks Gary!

P.S. I have smelled My Little Pony in wines before... It brought back some childhood memories :)

    Great show Gary!

QOTD: Probably music, specifically singing. There's a tactile and audible quality that separates it from our normal, visually based life. It might also be why I like food and wine so much (i.e. the tastes and smells).
  • Alex
Yo Gary... just started watching your show a couple of weeks ago, and I love it. I'm young, and trying to get into tasting more wines, and your passion is helping me to WANT to expand my pallet. Last summer I took a road trip through Edna Valley, and I tasted the Chardonnay from Tolosa, @ Tolosa, which is just a beautiful place. Sad to see you didn't score it better, because I tasted more grapefruit on there at the vineyard, and it was awesome. If you get a chance or do a show on Pinot Noir, I think you should check out Kynsi Winery. Excellent Pinot... a little price (40-50 bones range) but great stuff.

QOTD: Traveling... I get to go to France, Spain, and Italy in a few weeks, and I'm pumped about trying all the wines there. Good times.
