QOTD: I recommend you do a blind taste comparison among different Riedel glasses or do a blind taste comparison of using a Vinturi versus not using one and see if you sense any difference.

I’m going to have to recommend the 2005 Rocca delle Macìe Sasyr Toscana IGT.

I stopped at AJ’s Fine Foods on the way home tonight, and their wine guy asked if I needed anything. I told him that I was in the mood to try anything tonight. He gave me this nice Sangiovese & Syrah blend (60/40 respectively)–and at a $16 price point, I find it to be a very good value.

    QOTD:

Keep on hand a 50/50 mixture of dawn liquid dish detergent and hydrogen peroxide….it works well on red wine stains (sorry, Mott)

Kosher wines suck! Just kidding GV.

QOTD: I recommend the Coppola Director’s Cut Zinfandel 2005 which you sell at your store…Coppola’s history is bad but this vintage is terrific. It needs to air out for like 45 mins, but it’s got killer zin qualities. I had e-mailed you to taste it and you said you would, but you never did. I’m dying to see if you like it or not.

Not weird, just another great show with a different kind of fun and some great wine education. Me thinks that it’s about time for a winter Vaniac cruise into the beautiful Caribbean or Bermuda where we can lay in the sun and get toasted. Think it up Gary. Pick your cruise line and let us know.
