Happy birthday, Mott! Nice to see you get some camera time and sit down with Gary. Also nice to see you liking more and more reds. Train that palate! QOTD1: I believe Mott is 42. QOTD2: Obviously past the time, and probably wouldnt have been able to anyway with work and whatnot.

I had a ‘95 or ‘97 Travaglini back in 2003, and it was quite possibly the best wine drinking experience I’ve ever had – like smooth cherry and strawberry velvet, and was thick on the palette. So I’m rather disappointed that the 2003 was thin and wasn’t very good. Maybe 2003 wasn’t a very good growing year? Hopefully the 2004 will be better.

    QOTD 1: I will go with 46.

QOTD 2: Nope, on the other side of the country.

Ok. Tried the Antoniolo last week. Definitely better than the 91 Parker gave it, but not sure about 94+. A solid 93 in my book and it might hit 94 with a few more years on it side. Bought several bottles, so will come back to it.

Is it me or do I here a Coldplay song in the background while Mott is holding up his cake? Could someone else turn up the volume and give a listen and let me know if I’m crazy?

    Happy birthday Mottster!
I would guess that you are in your high 40s – 48 years old.

I won’t be able to make the SF bash.

I really like the Gattinara’s and I am hapy to see a review of wines other than Travaglini from this region

Hey Mott, Happy very belated Birthday ! I’m guessing you’re 39 years of age.

Gary (and Mott), this former lurker wants to say to you, I love your podcasts and what you’re doing, please keep up the good, no great, work.
Re: the Crushpad event on August 9, I didn’t see any “link it up” info or anything on the Crushpad site, crushnet etc., or maybe I’m just looking but not seeing ? Ooh, getting kind of deep…anyway, thanks and if you can be of help on the details of that’d be great.

    Cheers!

    NB_SPAZZ

QOTD 1: 46 for the Mottster.
GV should have given him his “MOTT, LINK IT UP” shirt for his b-day.
Disappointed with the 2003 Travaglini… liked the 2001 a lot.

    Gary,

After your review of the Antonolio I had to buy a few to see if the WA91 was too low or your 94+ was too high. Since I generally don’t trust WA on Italians, I’m hoping you’ve got it right. This could be one of the best values of the year if you are.

Great show! A belated Happy Birthday wish for the Mott-ster!

QOTD: Mott = Life, the universe and everything = 42?

QOTD: I will be in Boston on business on July 10th (bummer!). August 9thn is unlikely, but I’ll look into it.

    niklopez98

    Feliz Cumpleanos!

Moot’s QOTD; How old? Forever young!

Gary’s QOTD; No, and that makes me wanna cry!

iTunes competition; That’s kinda unfair, I’m the only one that have written a review for your show, and the reason? Because iTunes store is local, so I’m the only one in Norway who have done that. Can you see it? El_Ninjo was the user…

Lol, nice camera work, GV. You should definitely stick to your day job ;)
    Happy 21st :) B-Day Mott.

QOTD: You will definitely see us on August 9th, and we will see if we can make it in July (weekdays are kinda tough).

QOTD. Mott is probably around 45. Nice to see him liking some vini.

QOTD2. We love to go to SF but we can’t make it there during the week. :(

Why does SF get all the fun?

I believe that Mott is 47 years of age.

I will not be able to meet you in San Francisco.

Happy #23 Mott! I think it’s all that partying after the Giants won that has cost you some hair up top.
Can’t make the SF stuff, but have fun.

    Karl Laczko

Mott, sorry I’m late – Happy Birthday mate!

Gary, liked the show, yet more Italian undiscovereds – how many more are there :)

QOTD 1 – I’m thinking you’re older than me, but not by too much, say 47?

    QOTS 2 – Can’t make SF, unfortunately.
