I had a ‘95 or ‘97 Travaglini back in 2003, and it was quite possibly the best wine drinking experience I’ve ever had - like smooth cherry and strawberry velvet, and was thick on the palette. So I’m rather disappointed that the 2003 was thin and wasn’t very good. Maybe 2003 wasn’t a very good growing year? Hopefully the 2004 will be better.

Ok. Tried the Antoniolo last week. Definitely better than the 91 Parker gave it, but not sure about 94+. A solid 93 in my book and it might hit 94 with a few more years on it side. Bought several bottles, so will come back to it.

After your review of the Antonolio I had to buy a few to see if the WA91 was too low or your 94+ was too high. Since I generally don’t trust WA on Italians, I’m hoping you’ve got it right. This could be one of the best values of the year if you are.
