You completely scared the crap out of the poor guy when you started the show. Too funny. :-)

    love the episode.

QOTD: no time to visit any other wineries, too busy making wine this year.

sooooooo glad you had the “whether they like it or not” on the end!

Great stuff! I love all these winery visits. Love seeing the owners/winemakers and thier passion for making these wines. QOTD: First things first. I need me a passport then we can talk about me visiting and doing some summer work for you. ;) …I also love watching your guests get totally caught off guard when you ask them to ask a QOTD.

Behind on the shows – just watched this one today. Loved it! During the first week of June this year I spent a few days in Bordeaux with chateaux visits and great food. We visited about 10 places and I have to say that the visit to Latour Martillac was probably the best: the reception, the tour (no pun intended), and the wine: all was fantastic! Thanks Pascal!! They were botteling the 2006 while we were there – great to see.

all the spaniards go to bordeaux to pick
side note – i had a 1989 la tour martillac rouge last year and it was nice, real nice. my host had the bad idea of serving it with new wave tai, so i held off on eating as much as possible. anyhow, it had some life in it still. it was goooood.

What a charming, terrific episode. I love when you have guests. The shows are always great, but lately they have been special. Thanks so much for that. I am a bit behind on episodes but getting caught up this evening :)

Wow, I’m late. The look on Tristan’s face when you said you got a hint of “Sweat sock” in the 86 was fun to watch. Good show.

I’ll have to try a white Bordeaux, as I am a fan of Sancerre and the Sauvignon/Semillon grapes in general.

QOTD: Not planning a trip to France any time soon, but I am very much enjoying this virtual tour of Bordeaux, especially with great guests like Tristan.

QOTD: Well, I’ll be in Fronsac in less than a month. I dunno about Graves- that’s on the other side of the river!
