    QOTD:
My folks had big poster of them on the wall when I was growing up – in the dining room. Wierd, but I think of the old dinning room. Also had on the wall – The Doors, The Beatles, Joe Cocker, Rolling Stones, The Band, The Who

When I hear Simon and Garfunkel I think of “The Sound of Silence” and a commercial I saw yesterday. I think it was for a fast food commercial, but either way they perfectly spoofed them.

I had an $8.00 Malbec a few months ago. Pretty good stuff that I still remember it. You said Simon and Garfunkle, and I automatically thought of Forrest Gump. It has been playing on HBO all damn month, on every HBO Channel. Great movie, and they play all the 60s, etc generational music throughout the movie.

QOTD: what do I think of when Gary says “Simon & Garfunkel?”

    * High School – Both of them graduated from my High
    School (several years before me).

    * I remember getting l**d in my dorm room with S&G’s Greatest
Hits playing in the background. Several times. That
album seemed to work well with college girls (in the late ’70s),
the brainy ones at least. Paul, Art: Thanks guys, I owe ya.

Bookends and a cold bottle of Mateous Did I spell that right? — it’s been soooo long since I’ve even seen a bottle of that 60’s good stuff. Think I’ll hit the album box and go down to Cub Foods and see if they still Portugal’s finest, slice an old gouda and put on the headphones . . .

Good music. Assume you were saying Cahors when talking about French Malbecs and they are high on my list. A few Argentine Malbecs have been good for me but Chile not so much.
