This was a good episode. Liked the vignon bringing back the wine after asparagus. However, you had a master of wine and didn’t even make him taste with you. My absolute favorite part of WLTV episodes with guests is when you taste side by side and compare notes. I love hearing what other people taste in the wines compared to what you taste. I think that you wasted a great opportunity. Get him back and let us hear and see him taste as well!!!

Fun show. According to the budometer web site, I am a hyper-sensitive taster also.

QOTD: I love my mom. She was actually the person that introduced me to wine.

Wow, Tim Hanni rocks it!! Great show and what an interesting product!! Def. something to think about, esp since Im a growing wine drinking who is trying his best to enjoy reds. I love me some salt so that must mean Ive got quite a bit of taste buds. Have to check out that site to see for sure. QOTD: My mom is my mom, and shes fantastic.

    Wow, it all makes sense.

Diet Soda is the nastiest stuff I’ve ever tasted and I never understood why people liked it.

I do shy away from table salt because of health concerns, but love the good stuff, particularly for grilling. Brazilian, French, Hawaiian, Alder Smoked, all in my cabinet and use them all the time to accentuate flavors.

    Good work as always!

As usual an excellent show. I wish there had been more time for demonstration of other faux pas food and wine combinations resolved with this product.

It was interesting for me to hear about the MW certification. The seasoning sounds interesting (I’ll probably try it if I see it in a store), but I do love how certain wines match so well for me with certain foods. I know some pairings do not usually taste as good together, but I cannot imagine that a general use seasoning will replicate the magic of a seemingly perfect pairing. Even when it’s not quite that good, I really enjoy trying different combinations because some are better than others. I’m sure the seasoning doesn’t make everything taste the same, but it seems like it might take some of the fun out of the experience for me.
Thank you very much, Tim, for appearing on Gary’s show (even though it was to market your product).

This was such a cool, quality episode! It was great to see other parts of the wine business being represented…and how amazing is that to be a Master of Wine? Wow….I’m quite impressed!

And that product looks quite amazing…I’ll be looking for it when I get back States side.

QOTD: Of course I love my ma Susan, she’s awesome!

MR Hanni, Great Show. Love episodes like this one. I will look for your product, luckily someone imports it to Mexico.

QOTD: I do love my mother, she’s a stern-old fashioned-no bullshit woman from a numerous family and a bit scary at times but she means well and is always active, which is admirable.

Good Stuff Gary … I will look for that particular brand promptly.

Cool show Gary. Tim was kinda salesman on this one but you can tell he’s a genuine, down-to-earth guy, and it definitely got me wanting to try Vignon!

I took the budometer test and came out as a “sensitive taster”… cool. I like salt and all kind spices, and when I cook I’ll really season with whatever I’ve got, not worrying much about combinations or measurements. Food and wine are really fundamentally so wonderful, and I think people overthink and close their minds to experiencing new things.

QOTD: Darlene McHenry is my mom. She’s a beautiful, strong, compassionate and selfless lady, and of course I love her.
She and her boyfriend tend to get stuck on their Blue Moon and supermarket white zinfandels and merlots, though, so my brother and I are always trying to get them to branch out! (^_-)

Ahaaa… firm believer in the non-food pairing BS, now confirmed! If restaurants were ’so worried’ that you would order the wrong food with your wine, then would force you to order the wine after you order the food. The opposite occurs as you know. And you never experienced a food-blow-up in your mouth when u had a bit of wine in your mouth and here comes the clams…

    Good show and interesting product.

Wow, this has got to be one of the best episodes. Very fun and giving us a lot to think about.

QOTD: My mom is Ivajean. A very unique name for a very unique woman. I don’t get to see her nearly enough. I’m calling her today.

this was an all time low. dont need an informercial of some guy selling salt. he bragged about his great credential but then wouldnt stoop to even taste the wine you were trying and give his opinion of it. classless. ease off the guests please.

Fascinating show and an excellent guest. Really interesting stuff. I’ll have to have my wife watch it (she’s the chef in the house).

QOTD: My mom was Mildred. I miss her a lot. :-(

Excellent show, Tim came across as open & honest about the principles behind Vignon – sounds like a good ingredient to have in the cupboard.

QOTD – Enid, and a lovely woman she is too!

Great show Gary! You should do a wine gadget mythbuster episode sometime. I think i would be an interesting show.

    Tim,

Thank you for your response. Its a very interesting concept, one I would like to learn more about.
By the way I am a California (Bay Area) native now leaving abroad, so I would love to look you up the next time I’m home for a visit! Its not often I can chat with someone of your knowledge and expertise.
I currently manage a Wine Spectator awarded wine bar! In fact I emailed Gary my wine list not too long ago!

Take care and regards to Gary

Great show…lots of fun to see someone who is so deep into another part of the wine world. I’m really interested to see what the effect of the spice has on food…It might be worth a $6 investment just to try something new in the litchen. Will you sell it at WLTV?

QOTD: My momma is the woman that set the standards and values for my life…
