    Gary

I (Andy) came into this episode not expecting a whole lot, but I really learned alot about you. First of all, you did a back to back flip cam episode after people clearly were not happy with your lighting skills (or lack thereof). That takes guts! Then, you pull out an excellent episode where we were clearly expecting you to fail. Hotel wines? They are overpriced and of questionable quality. Unbelievably you pull it off and find a treasure with the Hess Select, all the while keeping your fans entertained when you could certainly be doing something else like shopping, exploring the city, or sleeping like most of us would rather do. Gary, I just want to say, “Thank you!” for all you do. It’s hard work and I really respect the love you give to the “Vayner Nation”

Hi Gary! I prefer flipcam episodes to pre-taped episodes as they bring more thunder. Thanks for pumping out episodes regardless of your tight time schedule! Best, Patrick

That is a pretty impressive couple of wines in a hotel mini bar.
I really like these episodes – that person that left the uber negative comment needs to look on the bright side of life and enjoy the variety.

    QOTD – Country Music.

Gary, After watching the San Diego red wine tasting episode last night(just getting caught up from some time in Paso Robles, pouring a HdR)I am impressed that your tasting notes on two very different situations were pretty consistant. Both times you got the bacon fat and creaminess/egg nogg and the scores were 88/89 respectively. Nice job! The one thing I look for in a wine critic is consistancy. Hope Lizzy is doing well. Keep rockin em out!

You say Nashville I say “i haven’t been there” and “they have wine in Nashville?” ha ha

Great show, once the anti nausea pills took effect.

I love your show Gary. I appreciate the massive effort you put out for us.

It won’t bother me a bit if you take a week or two off after the baby (boy?) arrives. Anyone bothered by that is obviously not a parent and not nearly as devoted to “family” as you or anyone who is a parent. My boy is now almost 7 and I hate missing any minute, like the time he spends at his mom’s (yes we’re divorced) and even when he’s at school. On the other hand he’s his own person and needs time away for self development. I am always amazed at what I see and hear from him, especially after spending 10 days away like I did last week.

Just saw your interview on Obsessed and really enjoyed the background story of your family coming to the USA. Thanks for sharing. I am inspired.

dude – i like the flipcam shows! not every episode can be a wine-giant hangin’ and dispensing knowledge like crazy. glad to see Hess Collection show well as when i first moved to California and lived in Mammoth Lakes we’d get their Chard and Cab frequently in restaurants and for reasonable prices too!

QotD: you say Nashville and i think http://www.bluebirdcafe.com/

Just got to this one. Nice show. Pricey wines, but $15 for Johnnie Walker?!?!?

QOTD: Nashville Predators (best I could do).

Guess you have to expect the high prices in a hotel, particularly for anything in-room. Good episode, Gary! The Hess sounds very intriguing–will have to locate that, since your description of it fits what I enjoy–

Answer to QOD–I got nothing, since I’ve never been to Nashville.

Hey Gary, I just appreciate the fact that you put forth the effort to create all of these entertaining episodes for us. Sloppy is good, sloppy is fun, sloppy is entertaining, and sloppy is necessary at times in your busy and diverse world. Thanks.

Cool Episode. I live about an hour north of Nashville in the big KY. Too bad I’ve got finals this week or I would have tried to come down. Do a bourbon episode!

I love the flip can shows. I really appreciate that you take the time to to the shows….so thanks GV!
I feel like I’m right there with you and love the way you mix it up so keep up the variety. This is what makes life interesting just like the different grape varietals!

    Qotd: I say country!

Though a bit sloppy in the recording…I like. Then again, you are not Mott. Gotta give you credit for multitasking.

Personally, I think you are a bit more focused in your ‘home-away-from-home’ since you don’t have your little action figures and Jets bucket that seem to always get you distracted.

    GREAT SHOW!

    QOTD: SUPER CHEAP REAL ESTATE!

You are crazy, wish I would of known you were in Nashville, my hometown. Love your show, especially the flip cam. Don’t get to watch too much, but glad to see you representing Tennessee. Keep it going and promote Tennessee to receive wine by mail, it’s B.S.

Gary – You are hilarious with the FLIP Cam. I do like the shows you do that way. Maybe we can start a drinking contest everytime you knock the camera over. Have you considered getting a GorillaPOD tripod? Keep up the great work and congratulations again on all your success.
