Love the Rhone wines Garry. Have you tried the Aussie Clonakilla Shiraz Viognier? It is awesome and has matched up to many Cote Rotie’s in judgings.

    Late on this one

I will have to check out the 07 CnP.
Gary, I’m glad I acted on your Brunello raves as two of them are in the top 15 of WS Top 100 for 09. I sure they were great without the ranking, but hey. Nice to see how on the money you are.

Do you think the comment turnout is for the NFL or for CdP?

    Gary,

Kiing me right now. i am trying to keep my palate trained for calif wines and cellar is maxed out. but…..I am adding these tow recommendations to my list and will possibly go out and buy a bottle or two, strategically sneak them past the wife and try to have a sniff e sniff this weekend.

If you want an 2007 Rhone thrill, try the J.L Chave 2007 Cotes-du-Rhone ‘Mon Coeur’ I swear it tastes like most $40 Chateauneufs for only 24 bucks. Enjoy.

Well here I am on Monday afternoon, (had to be at work the weekend, without computer access) and most jealous of this great contest BUT as I do not follow professional football (since the last time they went on strike), I would prefer one that is a fan win.

Great episode, as usual. Really appreciate the knowledge you share with us.

Hope you had an AMAZING Birthday!
Yeah, I’m totally selling the ‘07 Cotes du Rhones, especially the Perrin Reserve. I’ll have to check the vintage on the one CdP we carry, but even if it’s an ‘07 at $20, most of my regulars ain’t gonna buy it. It’s yummy and delicious, but under $15 is the majority’s comfort level. Oh well, more for me once more income happens.

Chateau Beaucastel was pouring ‘07 at the New York Wine Experience. In a room featuring Latour, Haut Brion, Sassicaia, Gaja, Chapoutier, Harlan, Torbreck, etc…the 2007 Chateau Beaucastel was a real standout.

    QotD – Browns 6, Ravens 13
