Great episode. Love it when you have an interesting/enganging guest on. Hope there’s many more in the future! QOTD: IF I had the talent, to be able to spend a day in the studio making music with someone like Ornette Coleman or Pat Methany. The possiblity to not only play with someone of their talent level, but to have my imprint stamped on something that would be around forever would be an amazing experience.

  • Cute guest, single too… MROW,
but she didn’t bring the thunder in terms of expressing her opinion
of wines after tasting them and Gary had to carry that part of the
show, but we know she’s new to the wine world and she does have a lot
to offer and will only get better.

She also brought rocks from France which is awesome.

Going back in time for a moment since you mentioned K Murph today. When are you going to have her on the show again? This was a solid ep! Tons of fun geeky info.

she was off by 2 in naming her epi. I say give it to her gary

  • I came here from ep848.

Fronsac is one appellation of which I'm a neophyte, must seek more to learn and get a sense of them.

QOTD: A dream job for a day would be building a space station/space vehicle, actually being in space with tools and building a space craft.

So where is the episode that explains how KMurph went from here to working at Wine Lib?

  • Château Frère, Premières Côtes de Bordeaux (R)
Château des Trois Clochers, Premières Côtes de Bordeaux (R/B/C)
Carmel Mingot de Haux, Premières Côtes de Bordeaux (R/B)
    Château Saint-Pierre La Mitre, Bordeaux Supérieur (R), Entre-deux-Mers (B), Bordeaux (C)
Chateau Haux Premières Côtes de Bordeaux
    R = rouge, B = blanc, C = clairet (rosé)

is more Bordeaux vineyards own by danish companies. Often found at retailers like Vignoble in Denmark. Price from 7 -30 dollars

  • Good question 🙂

QOTD: Excellent question. My dream job for one day would be getting up and going to a burgundy Grand Cru tasting with a spot of lunch, then a nice Thai meal in the evening with a load of wine nerds and some German Riesling, then heading off with my pals to my favourite house club and playing some records in the back room for a few hours (and getting paid silly money for it!)

Nice episode. Fun to came back and revist after #848. KMurph needs to repeat. She's the only one who could say “It was lovely” at the end of the show and get away with it.

QOTD: I'd make a great retiree, frankly.

  • John__J

Really fun episode, great to hear about a wine you wouldn’t see in stores

qotd: working with wine, and I’m doing it, but working with wine where I would travel more would be even better.

You go K-Murph, a cheese head now working for WL. Have not tried these wines. My dream job would be to have enough $ that you did not have a job anymore… http://www.winelx.com

line of the day – ‘I’m like a beautiful bird that you see all the time and Mott is like a Kangaroo, you don’t see them that often.’

Nice guest, shame Gary had to pan the wines, she looked heartbroken. Would’ve been nice too have heard a bit more of that lovely french accent. Good to see Mott working harder for his buck!
