Loving the 10 minute show lengths.

QOTD: Biggest let-down for me recently would probably have to be the Jonathan Edwards winery harvest fest. Their information on their website had very little info about the event and when my wife and I got there, we were very underprepared. I guess that would be something.

QOTD: I bought a 2007 CdP at 35 bones at my local wine shop that I was really looking forward to. Opened it, expected a highly concentrated and complex wall of tannins. Flat, uninteresting, and flabby. Biggest wine disappointment I can remember.

The damn Prawn Pakoda at a local Indian/Nepalese restaurant. Damn shrimprawns were raw in the middle and the batter was half done. The waitress was a sweetheart and took them back but, c’mon guys, raw shrimprawns? Get real.

Regarding preference for a shorter format, keep mixing it up! I like some short ones, but I also enjoy when you have guests, when you’re off-site, and especially when you get really nerdy on us. We don’t want to bore our palates so why would your show be any different?

Nice tight episode. I do like the shorter episodes, but the epic interviews and the longer tastings are good, too. Keep mixing things up. It keeps it fresh.

QOTD: I was disappointed in my Cleveland Indians this season. Many predicted that they would challenge for the AL Central Division. Instead, they collapsed, traded away the established players and lost 97 games. Sheesh!

Guess with all these shows recorded in advance we have to wait for the melt down rant on the fish/bills games! 😉

I also like the variety, especially the episodes with guests that talk of the history of wine, the business, bringing it to life.

Love the blind tastings, really any episode that brings the information of wine and its impact.

QOTD – There are many, and I do not dwell on those issues. I will shrug it off and go on to the next expectation.

QOTD: I was totally pissed off at the Tuesday night tasting at Wally’s in LA. They were tasting Salon and the invite offered an ’85 Delamotte Blanc de Blancs which I was more eager to taste then the ’97 Salon – turns out that it wasn’t there…

qotd: had a few job potentials that fell through, but finally landed an even better position with a great restaurant. Persistence and patience paid off.

Qotd: Well First thing was the Vancouver Canucks Couple of Opening Games. A Chilian Wine Tasting that wasn’t that great, tho followed up by a much better Aregentina Tasting

QOTD: “Where the Wild Things Are”- story structure-wise, this film had some issues, although the studio did shave about 45 minutes off of the initial cut.
AND I DO appreciate the tight, focused episodes lately, especially when dealing with a solid head-to-head match-up.

I like the tight shows. I’m here for the wine knowledge. It’s not that I don’t enjoy the sideshows, but especially when I’m doing some catching up (after not having watched for 10 episodes or whatever), I want “just the facts”. This is great. You’ve intrigued me about Mersault. The other day I bought (but have not yet tried) a Dolcetto. This is why I’m here and what I love.
