Hey, Gary… I joined up after seeing the ad in LA Times. Episode 100 is a hoot. It’s the first one I watched. So to answer your BIG QUESTION, my favorite episode of your first 100 is episode 100. Now, about those other 99… Can I fit them in a wine tote?

  • Congradulations on #100 Gary!

Also congradulations on changing my point of view about how a son of an owner in a family owned business can actually be a great thing – I used to work for a family where the son was the antithesis of everything you represent. You are extremely refreshing!

    QOD revisited…
Favorite cartoon – Thundar the Barbarian
best bottle of wine given – 1997 Merryvale Profile
best bottle received – Magnum of Gosset, best Italian wine – 1997 Terre del Grico Monstyronum winery I would visit if limited to one – Niebaum Coppola (wine, history, variety, film history, setting)
    favorite episode – #40 Passion
wine I would never drink again – the first bottle I tried (17 years old) which had to be a Livingstone Cellars Chablis that had been in my parents cupboard forever
Best Restaurant – The Caribou Club, Aspen
Favorite Restaurant – Korean Garden BBQ Restaurant in Denver
Best food pairing – sushi and Albarino
My winery name would be – Opus None, just kidding, I like the name “Train of Thought”
Last bottle of wine I drank -2000 Dehesa La Granja Tempranillo
    Favorite TV show – Heroes
All time favorite TV show – MASH
Favorite Desert Wine – Oremus Tokaji 5 Puttonyos
Show I would like to see – you blind tasting the four best selling $20 wines in the store I manage

Gary, thank you, thank you, thank you for WLTV
Now that I’ve caught up on the frist 100 episodes all I can say is …

It was a sad day for me when Neil O’Donnel threw two picks in XXX but had to be a sadder day for you when the Jets signed him to a contract after that.

    Thanks,
    Monty from Colorado

That was really funny – corny but in a Beastie Boys Sabotage sort of way.

Qotd: Episode #4 because you get to see the awesome wine cellar! I love getting to see the Wine Library and I really hope to get to see it in person some day.

You wonder if you would make it another 100 episodes, and now you’re at 400+ – I’m just hoping for one more episode, and then a few more after that! 🙂

Hey Gary V, thanks for creating this awesome product. I’m totally hooked. My favourite episode from 1-100 would be #43 with guest Santiago Achaval from Argentina. Keep on rockin

    qotd: I guess my fav Gary since we are picking 1 would be #4. The one where I got to see the tour of wine library and drool over the magnums of Petrus and d’Yquem. Wonderful 100th Gary. Looking forward to your 10,000 episode where instead of spitting , you can just empty your catheter into the Jet’s spit bucket. lol, just kidding, although gives me a new pun for the vin jaune episode I’m waiting for. {not to mention the charbono tasting episode.}
    Seriously Gary, congrats, glad I’ll at least get to see the 1000 live. Plus who knows, maybe by then you’ll have done a vin jaune and a charbono tasting episode, and I can move on to requesting an episode on Madeira’s. {I got lots more ideas, but 1 or 2 at a time.}
    Thanks Gary.

    Congrads… how cool!

  • QOTD: My Fav up to this point would have to be #57. It shows a turning point in WLTV. It shows that in business sometimes you make choices and stick to your gut. Kudos Gary.

HIRE WRITERS!!!!!! this is so amazingly bad that it is awesome! I have been a fan now for about 6 months. I decided about 2 weeks ago to watch wltv from the beginning. I haven't seen an epsiode I didn't like. QOTD – there are 3 favorites of mine
67 the wine rap – ridiculous
72 the commercial with the wine spitting
99 when you told us how you put your ass on the line everyday politically
keep up the great work GV, much appreciated.

  • Jrouss

That was hilarious especially the random Mr. T interjection
Favorite episode was #58 I think that is when you really go more animated.
Well 100 down got about another 750 episodes to go. Really enjoying and learning.
by the way I ordered the Le muse, le joie, and desire after watching the 1st episode.

keep up the good work. Great to see the comments are up over 200 now.

  • That was entertaining, but in all honesty Gary you are better as a wine entertainer than as an actor.
