I love Whetstone Pinots…I had a couple, and they are great. I’d like to try their Viognier. As for the QOD: Yes. But, I don’t remember getting any butterscotch or caramel in the nose…sounds kinda CA Chardonnay like to me. But I like those too.

I liked the short episode, especially since I only watch this at work. See you later man, enjoy your vacation.

Most of the Viognier that Iâ??ve had is from Condrieu which IMO is where the best Viognier is made. I had one this past Thanksgiving, the White Knight or something like that, and I wasnâ??t that wild about it. About 5 years ago I had a Viognier with blackened grouper and this was a great match. When added to a Cote Rotie, Viognier really makes for exotic aromatics.

Anyone have any recommendations for Viognier at the under $20 price point. The most common one i’ve had is the EXP Viognier, which is fine, but to paraphrase Gary, didn’t change my life. I’m sure there are better QPR Viognier’s out there…

QOTD: yes. A French vigioner (Didier) a number of years ago, hated it. Had ??? (CA) vigioner within last 1-2 years and it was good, from what I remember. Just not on my list of favorite grapes.
