  • Basketball league? Hrrmm….. Too bad I’m too far away!

Yo, I’m in Japan so how about a WLTV Ninja league? After a “match” who’s ever left living will get a case of wine or “something”. Shoot, that’s a “fantastic” idea. I feel ya on the all wines moving to the same taste tip. But homie, oh don’t you dismay cuz there are tons of heads like all us Vay to the Niacs that are down for trying different tastes. We’re the new generation (well at least the coolest part of the new generation) of wine drinker that will change the market. Right now everyone has a woody for oakyfruityvanillyfruityfruitfruity in a bottle so all the winemakers hop on the band wagon. So, you get a bunch of homogeneous wines that please the masses for a while but in the meantime the “cooler generation” starts drinking wine from India, China, Texas, my mom’s bathtub and all these interesting places and we can put those places on the map. Two hopes I have for the wine world: more organic/biodynamic/ecofriendly wines and fewer people insisting to drink wine with food that really is made for beer. Wine and french fries…nope! Wine and fried chicken, c’mon.

i’ll kick joey’s ass at bowling…hehe. I’m with you gary, I hate that wines from all regions are starting to taste the same. I’m a huge lover of wines such as brunello and it pisses me off when i drop $75 on one and it tastes like a freaking shiraz fruit bomb. When a wine is made well it can retain its terroir and still have profound jammy fruit. Keep up the great work.

I agree Gary, and I hope that wines stay true to their roots, and not all start tasting the same.

a wine that tastes really unique you havent had on yet would be a vin jaune
