I tried the Tintoralba last night. I was not as impressed by it as much as you and Parker were. It is clearly a food wine and not meant to be consumed without something on the palate. Nonetheless, it struck me as being a bit disjointed with a bit too harsh a tannin and acid structure even after this number of years and being opened for a couple hours. I don’t suspect the tannins will ever really resolve themselves before the fruit falls apart. I would never have confused this wine with a $20 to $40 Bordeaux, the flavors and style screamed Mediterranean Sea, not Gironde River. Nonetheless there were some nice things about it, especially for its price point. 88-89 points

Great episode I watched every minute(on three separate sittings). I plan on trying most of these wines($200 for the case,right on) .I appreciate all the work you put into this episode,and the 199 prior , I started watching about 60 episodes ago and haven’t missed one since. Happy Birthday or something like that! Fun show. I have been watching since December and am in the process of planning a 1000 bottle wine cellar that I expect to finish in a year. I will keep watching with the intent of trying to learn enough to stock the cellar over time.
