    I got Nuthn’…..
Little leary on this Twitter thing… not too sure I want to/need to know your bathroom habits… maybe this is one I’ll wait on and jump in on later.

BTW.. my local Wine Purveyor has me into a couple mixed cases of the 2005 White Burgandy.. so I’m pumped to try those out.

QOTD: Something I knew I should have jumped on but didn’t was last September when my husband and I were going to a wine dinner in Santa Fe for the Wine and Chile Fiesta, and we wanted to stay the night because driving back to Albuquerque (about an hour) after a 5-7 course wine dinner didn’t appeal to me, and a wine salesman had promised to comp us for a room, but he waited till the last minute, and even though I knew that nice hotels near the Santa Fe Plaza often booked ahead for a year before special events I didn’t push him, and we ended up getting a marginally OK motel that was near if you didn’t mind crossing 6 lanes of freeway traffic at night, so we drove, and my husband didn’t get lost because he never gets lost, but we got an extensive tour of some of the more charming and inaccessible homes of Santa Fe. I mention all of this because at that wine dinner – David and Michael – Michael’s wife Christie (I think it was Michael) told me that ATTENTION GARY: if you ate a serving of oatmeal every day you could lower your cholesterol. I tried it for 3 months (oatmeal is not just for breakfast either) and lowered my cholesterol 21 points. It’s worth a try, especially if you like oatmeal. The instant kind is reportedly not as good, but you can use it in a pinch.

I’m not that into mac & cheese, but I’ll destroy some chili mac. Which, I’m sure, would go good with a nice red… now I’m hungry.

Have you noticed that these wristband photos comin’ back are a little… eh…. MALE DOMINATED. Why is wine such a dude sport?

QOTD: Man, forget about Google stock: what about when they came out with gmail, I should’ve been all over that. But by the time I got around to booking an email address, every – possible – version – of my name was taken. Yah start having to add numbers at the end or stupid little phrases instead of your name that you hope nobody has ever thought of. It’s like the AOL factor.

    Love Chablis.
QOTD: Google stock. Waited too long.

  • Joe

Gary, how many times do I have to say this…..one Lipitor a day and you can eat anything you want, guilt free! I went on Lipitor and added steak, cheeze, bacon AND dropped 100 points!

Regrets, I have had a few, GOOG at IPO, then $200, then $250 then $300. Also not signing up for the Harlan wine list in the 90’s (back then I thought the wine was too expensive),

QOTD: In the late 90’s I received an e-mail about a little company called Monster, telling me to buy up some cheap shares, this thing would be big. I was leary, and procrastinated. Enough said.

  • vivaitalia

Oh hell yeah, Mac-N-Cheese is my favorite. Blue box style only, and use two cheese packets for one box of pasta. If you haven’t done it, you’ve gotta try it. I’m gonna enjoy some now with a little toscana. QOTD i’ve had that happen to me too many times to count, i’m a serious procrastinator. I’ve gotta work on that. Have a great weekend everyone!

Damn G, the laundry list answer to the QOTD can’t even fit in this little comment box.

I’m still planning out the pic with the wristband. I just got that sucker in the mail a week ago, and I want to make sure I represent when I send the photo.

Thank you for another great episode.

Holy shit……where to start with that QOTD……..Gmail, 2003 Futures, having kids. There is just so much stuff that I screw up that I don’t know where to go with it.
On the flipside, I’m looking forward to learning about your regularity through Twitter 😉
Best part of show today was when you told the discrtibuter and wineries to shove it….

Okay it’s friday, I understand, you want to kick back and make the show a bit more interactive.

QOTD: Amazon in 1999. It seemed overpriced, seriously.

Speaking of Portuguese wines, I loved Neblina and can’t find it anymore. The taste was like un-sugared Sprite, awesome lime.

I sold my Google a year ago and keep kicking myself.

Flashback: I’m a sneezer. One of my referrals finally came around to liking your style. Go Vay-ner-chuk!
