I’ve been robbed, I logged on and there were no comments, nor anyway to leave one.

I emailed Gary and rec’d an out of the office message (June 15th? without warning us?).

Well maybe Brandon and Bobby got my email before Kent posted.

C’est la vie, the days are warm but the night’s are still chilly.

    GV,
Another Mind expanding episode. Dispelling the myth that all pink stuff is junk. Will have to try some.
QOTD: The “mystique” of pink stuff = white zinfandel is, correct was, holding me back. Will give it a whirl!!!

Bossman is correct, I was able to get in after much struggle with the answer, but got beaten by a few minutes. When I started there were no comments.

QOTD: No stinky pinky stuff for me, the devil wears pink, ooops got to go, she is home now.

QOTD: I had a nice rose some years ago, and every one I have tried since (including the Guigal) has been garbage.

  • I’m sitting on the deck of my soldier boyfriend’s apt. by Fort Benning drinking some local stuff – Chestatee Rose by Three Sisters Winery in Dahlonega.
Owner Sharon Paul sold me on it when I visited the winery yesterday – a mix of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Cab Franc and Merlot.
Cab Franc Rose is like my boyfriend, big and burly soldier man, but with a soft spot in his heart for lil’ ole’ me. I can still smell you, burly cab franc, but you’re all hugs and kisses for me today!

Everybody thank a soldier this weekend!

Well Gary… no, I’m certainly not afraid of “the pink”… Rosé on the other hand, I dunno. I guess there’s that whole stigma associated with white zin. that we’re all a bit afraid of. However, with expanding my pallet in mind, I purchased some French Rosé just the other day. I will give it a shot in the next week or so!

Hooray, I was the first to answer! So exciting!

I can’t say I’ve ever had a rose. Because pink scares me. I do like that roses tend to be cheaper though, so it’s only a matter of time before this weak will of mine gives in…

How prophetic am I? Last show, I mentioned that this was the summer of the rosé, and then out you come with a rosé show. I think you owe me some money or something.

I have had the Guigal and I would describe the finish as “astingent”–like liking the floor of a hospital examination room (not fun, but sometimes you have no choice).

Stick to rosés from Tavel, Costières de Nîmes, or Provence.

The only “pink” that I have had have been really sweet fruity wines that I wasn’t a huge fan of. So, not knowing what was what has been the biggest thing holding me back from trying any new ones!

    And “Le Printemps”= Spring

    Summer is “l’été”

Right on breaking out the Copain! However…my ABSOLUTE favorite Rosé is Domaine de la Mordoreé, both the CDR and the Tavel…for 14 bucks…fantastic. Also the Pibarnon and Tempier are interesting wines…

Just for info – (sorry I feel like the only one caring about and/or mentioning your French Pronouncation issues…)

Pronouciation wise: Copain = Ko Pahn (more or less)
Le Printemps = Lu Pron ton

And the accent…somewhere between Bergen and Union Counties?
