GV your right about the Benton Lane, the 2005 is really good and most other years are good for there price. Now the Huia, I try to sell a lot of it at the store I work so people can try something new but you are right, the price is way to high. The do make one of the best gewurztraminer outside of Alsace though.

Pinot gris: Now that I know how to pronounce it (I thought it was pee-no griss) I’ll have to give it a taste.

QOTD: First, it’s cool to read what everyone used to draw. I used to draw bug eyed flies, race cars with gigantic engines, 3-d boxes and when I learned about perspective I went crazy with that. I don’t draw well, but we should all draw anyway!

I know that Pinot Gris is how they say it in Alsace, and Pinot Grigio is how they say it in Trentino. But, last time I checked they still call it Chardonnay in Pouilly-Fuissé.
Also, since Alsace is the home of Pinot Gris could you have put in a wine from the homeland?

QOTD: I didn’t draw as much as I practiced forging signatures (started by learning both my parents’ for days I skipped then moved to celebs). Other than that I would draw random things around me, like backpacks, the pencil sharpener, chalkboard tray with eraser, etc.

Always wondered if Gris = Grigio so was definitely and interesting video to watch.

Not much of a drawer. The high point of my artistic career was winning a drawing contest in 2nd grade. I drew an airplane. Since then its been pretty much right brain activity. Good show! Saw the article in the New York magazine. Keep it up.

I was a Beatle nut from the time I was 10 so I drew their logo from the early days (think Ringo’s drum kit). In high school I drew the University of Arizona “A” logo, once I knew I wanted to go there.

I used to draw the space shuttle. Don’t know why but I would draw that damn thing all the time. Didn’t like to draw more of a writer but that is the one thing I would draw all the time.

Interesting episode. I admit, I am araid of Pinot Gris because of the Grigio thing. I’ll have to try some tastings.

QOTD: My artistic skills leave something to be desired… like a 3 year old desiring to finally get the legs right on his/her stick figure. So most of my doodles were just that… doodles. Spirals that turned into tornadoes, 5 and 7 point stars, geometric shapes and scratches. I could draw one thing… a furry thing that sort of looked like a tribble crossed with a furby.

QOTD: Mostly doodlings built without any form in mind. Every once in a while I’d draw a stick figure sitting on an island and fishing under an appletree.

QOTD- I used to doodle Michael Jordan’s “23” jersey.
