Gary – When will you have a TV show on CNBC or another network? I ask because you blow Jim Cramer away. Seems like you could easily fill a 30 minute show.

Even if I’ve had a bad day, I immediately get in a good mood when I watch your show.

    Cheers,
    David

Yay, Oleg almost got “Garry”‘s spelling close to a correct one.!!!

Maybe I’m just feeling ornery tonight but what’s with all these requests for wines not carried by WL or without the link?

Sad to say, you’ve got a snowballs chance on WL’s roof of getting these tasted.

You know Gary does run a very volatile business apart from traveling the globe to bring the best and stay at the top of his game, tasting a gazillon wines (I still say tough life, buddy), playing with every new gadget, checking out every social network on the net, cajoling to friend, twitter pwounce and badge him up, personally answering 1000’s of emails and visiting lord know’s how many web sites, vlogs and blogs (and that’s just his morning).

If I wanted him to taste something not carried by WL, the tact I would take would be to send him a bottle accompanied with a note, followed with an email and a lot of finger-crossing. I wouldn’t at all be disappointed if he never got to it. I swear the dude must sleep fast……

Of course, reading duplicate comments probably is a fair part of his day as well.

I like the sound effect of the ignition of alcohol in your mouth. This may not be relaxed enough for a Friday couch episode, but how about a taste-off of forty-something dollar syrahs, same vintage, different continents?

  • I love Stags Leap wines, so maybe a less expensive one they produce, the Hawk Crest cabernet sauvignon. I think its in the $15 range. Should be easy to find.

Maybe even a Clio to see if all the hype is true. (I sure think it is, I love the Clio)

I recently discovered a red blend called Duckhorn Paraduxx. I have had the 03 and 04 and enjoyed them both. Mostly a zin base and then cab sauv, merlot, etc.

So, wondering what the “brash, young retailer” was doing out there that made him have to blow off todays gig?

QOTD: Back in Episode 79, you said Champagne is your favorite wine (I think you’ve claimed several others since, but who’s counting), so why not indulge at our expense:

    Krug Champagne 1995 – http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=7166

Another option, I can buy $30, $40 wines and taste for myself. Do something I can’t buy right now – A 99-100 pt Parker – Chateau Rayas Chateauneuf Du Pape 1990 (http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=31445)

    Thanks Gary!

Something to seek out, and another one to add to the big Wine list of things to try.

    QOTD:
Okay, Reds Reds Reds seems like that’s all you’ve been tasting lately and what others are asking you to try, how about doing some whites of odd sorts..

How about something for the Non Alcohol Drinkers, they’re a lot of Vayniacs out there that can’t drink alcohol but enjoy watching your episodes and they need something to try.

    Please *** http://winelibrary.com/reviewwine.asp?item=30480 ***

    Thank you!
