    Gary,

Being Italian, I’m all about the nose. Don’t get me wrong, mid-palate matters but if the nose is great, I’m in it til the punt. If it’s a weak nose, then the “rest of the bottle doesn’t get drunk until I get drunk.” jp

i’m huge on a good nose as well. when i get a really good bottle, i spent a lot more time sniffing than i do actually drinking. i recently had this great torrontes with a killer nose… milked one glass for a solid two hours just hanging out and sniffing.

Gary- I’m a huge fan of virgin Chardonnay. It’s the white wine that got me interested in white wine, when I thought I only liked red. Cheers!

Well… I hope you get your white castle. Hmmm… What wine do you think would go well with a fast food meal?! You know a burger and fries.
I would say that I have wine with 75% of my meals.

QOTD- Probably 50-50. Almost impossible to eat good food without wine, almost impossible to resist good wine without food.

    30% with clothes… and 70% without clothes…

    ummm… “naked” means what? Oh…

90% with food, 10% without food.

Outside of tasting of course, which I do a lot more wine-tasting than wine-drinking. I prefer to take down a glass of scotch or pint of beer when I “just want to have a drink”.

I’d say 80% with, 20% without. Just ’cause I like wine with my food anytime I go out. BTW, I love the nose, I’m addicted to the nose. Wine (usually) smells amazing! I even actually love smelling all my drinks and food, wine or not. I just can’t bring the full flavor out without inhaling the aroma first.

Love the episode. I recently have gone back to Chardonnay after a good friend told me how much FUN he was having drinking it. I can deal with the oak mini monster. I think it is a nice flavor profile. I think I tend to go back and forth as seasons, environments, and tastes change, but I feel that my palate/taste tends to swing back and forth – old to new world, oak to not, it doesn’t stay the same which is great. I don’t see any reason why you have to be in only one camp. If people only liked to drink wines with a certain flavor profile the world would be dull.

at least 85% with food, 10% without and I pretty much can’t remember the other 5%

thanks for the excellent and informative show. As usual, it’s fun to watch as well (always nice after a long day at work). The breast move almost made me fall off my chair.

QOTD: 95% with food (obviously 5% without!!)

    Love the Frizzante-Cam.

Had a Shaw and Smith unoaked chardonnay a few years ago and it was an absolute revelation.

QOD: at least 90% with food.

I can’t imagine what you drink with White Castle, though. Carlo Rossi Paisano maybe?

I’m very interested in no oak chards,I’ve had not one chard in my life that I’ve enjoyed .I’ve not given Chardonnay much chance though either. I’ll for sure pick up a few non oaked to see if it can change my view.Hey maybe the Mer Soleil Silver would go well with a jalepeno slider and side of onion chips from white castle(let me know). QOTD 75% food 25% non food. Great show hope you get free sliders.Thank GV and WLTV crew
