Had my first ’07 last week from South Africa (Graham Beck Waterside 2007 Chardonnay) and I know it was better than that Whoopy thing.

    The others looked good though.

QOTD – History, especially Ancient Greece & Rome and general military history.

By the way, whatever happened to that Sherry episode you talked about a few weeks ago?

QOTD: Ummm…. How come I like olive oil but hate olives? Why did neither the original native Americans nor the first European settlers to the deep southand Texas not say to themselves “F$%@ing Hell!!! It’s really hot here, let’s keep going until the weather improves”? Why did the NHL think they could sell hockey in Nashville, Tampa, Pheonix, Atlanta, but that teams in Winnipeg, Hamilton, and Quebec City wouldn’t work? I could go on, but….

Mass production cheap Australian is really starting to tank as the numbers go up up up, same thing with cheap Spanish stuff. Its a shame to see really, because even three years ago Woop Woop seemed very servicable across the board.

QOTD: the idea of heaven, wine marketing (in a sick sick way), the way people walk.

Great show Gary. I am really excited about tomorrow #300 and we get to drink along. It should be a blast.

QOTD: how in spite of our “intelligence” we humans are so often motivated by such base emotions as fear and greed, anger and love, etc. It causes us all to do some pretty irrational things at times . . .

    Cheers

Okay, you got me. Sparkling Aglianico IS fascinating.

So: the Le Pousseur, is that French or is it actually California with a French name?

    Hey Gary,

Great ep. Thanks for finally whipping out the Castel. Finally featuring on of many Israeli AND kosher wine that bring serious thunder. Hope that all of those who were discouraged two days ago will reconsider.

Very uncool comment about Marino! You must still be ticked off on all the times Marino and the fins took the jets down. I guess I can understand your bitterness. I personally think he is an egomaniac, but one of the greatest QBs ever.

Gotta say my son fascinates the heck out of me. Just to watch him learn new things and work through little obsticles he comes across.

Decent sub $20 sparkling wines are always a good thing.

  • What fascinates me? Women.

Good show, and I am glad we finally had a kosher winner. I knew it would happen. The real issue isn’t kosher, it is preconceptions. We’re all human, and we have them. But that doesn’t mean we can’t lose them.

QOTD – string theory fascinates me, but then again, so does wine tasting, but on a different level. The look of pain on your face after tasting the Woop Woop was real. Sorry it was so lousy.

Sorry to hear about how awful the Woop Woop chard was, especially since I’ve been a longtime fan of Woop Woop shiraz, which IMHO, in the best QPR shiraz around.

BTW: It’s LE POUSSEUR (not ‘Le Posseur’), which means “The Grower” (not ‘the Poser’)

Glad you corrected your “Craig” slip 🙂 though as always, I was intrigued with the show esp the Castel. I may need to spring for a couple of bottles and compare to my Reginac.

QOTD: What fascinates me? Wow, if I stayed on the subject I guess what fascinates me is taking this round berry and turning it into delectable nectar called wine. But really, I am fascinated how someone who died when he was 35 could produce the most amazing music we still enjoy today some 250 years later and of course, Im talking about Mozart. Absolutley fascinating.

I’ll be there tomorrow with my two bottles!!!!

    Cheers

P.S. Most of the stash I sent you are not TCs, erroneous advertising on eBay but I think there’s at least one. 🙁
