QOTD: Hopefully to the Mississippi State football game tomorrow if I can get off work!
I think part of the problem today was that we got a “Sniff” out of you but not a “Sniffy Sniff!”

  • Ouch Gv, a brutal way to get back into the show ! I totally agree about the Cali Chards, I thought the buttered popcorn phase was over, not a chance. It sells wine to the masses, good bad or indifferent, that’s the truth.

QOTD: Tomorrow, going to my Chamber of Commerce Fund raiser auction for my hometown and our wine is being featured on the high roller tables. Way too Cool !!

No worries about the Vayniac Cab. It will all come together, thx for the words of calm !!

Great presenter – a martial arts approach to wine testing…by someone brought up with short attention span american talk shows. Score 9 out 10 !

  • Day-yum! Gary went completely OFF today! I loved the evocative image of him slowly pouring it out on the table like that, and watching the stain spread as he panned the wine (it was a great way to show us that he was really, LITERALLY, “pissed off” about the OOC /over-oaked chard).

I sought out the new Kanye West Homecoming song; it’s on You Tube. I liked the beat, Gary! Here’s the link:

Finally–tomorrow I’ve gotta take my one teen shopping for uniform pants. Sunday I am soooo excited! I’m volunteering to pour beer at a local restaurant (Cicero’s) 30th anniversary celebration. I’ll be pouring Boulevard Bob’s 47, Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat, Sam Adams Octoberfest, Guinness Draught, and George Killians Irish Red in my tent. People can buy a ticket for $20, and they’ll get 30 4-oz. beers of their choice (they can share their 1 ticket with their spouse, or whatever, if they want). I love beer, they are having beer relay races there, pizza eating contests, foot long hot dogs and brats and giant turkey legs, give-aways….it’s going to be a total blast!

Gonna piss a lot of people off by putting down their favorites so hardcore, I love how you’re not afraid to tell em how it is. Way to keep it real.

QOTD: Photography trip up the US West Coast from San Diego to Seattle, stopping at as many vineyards as I can reasonably fit into the trip.

QOTD: Family trip to Italy, seeing if I can work into it a Euro-Road-Trip to visit some of the lesser-known producers. Deciding for myself is more definitive (though less enjoyable) as hearing you talk about it all.

QOTD: I’m going to Portugal to taste wine. Check your facebook inbox.

Thanks for the John Kitna shoutout – Go Lions! I’d love to see them go 3-0 at the expense of the would-be 0-3 Eagles!!!

I love the way you went nuts on that wine! Too many people hold back what they really think. Excellent episode. Hate Kanye West, though. And all hip-hop.

    not sure yet.

Glad to have you back in Jersey.

QOTD: I’m going … to be reading … a lot. Because in grad school, apparently professors think that reading a lot is good for you. So I’ll probably be reading for the rest of my life, or for at least the next three years.
