That’s funny that you drank the Owen Roe today, but you had the wrong one! Yesterday I was at the Lenné vineyard in Oregon (say it with me Gary…) where I tasted the 2006 Owen Roe “The Kilmore” Pinot Noir, which has 50% of it’s grapes from Lenné (the rest from other Carlton/Yamhill AVA vineyards). We went to 6 vineyards yesterday and tasted about 50 wines, and this was definitely one of the top two we had. I see you guys carry this wine, so I was going to suggest it for you to try! Very powerful, with layer upon layer of fruit. It is obviously very young (probably bottled a few weeks/months ago), but it’s drinking amazingly well right now considering. I picked up a bottle, and may be back for a case. You should drink it on the show and let us know what you think!

QOTD: TRICK would be getting a wine from my older brother that was wrapped and in a gift bag, but when i opened it the wine was a terrible bosenberry flavored wine from his friend who works at a company called GOT JUNK. TREAT would be my 30th birthday my girlfriend surprised me with a chartered flight to Napa.

Good show, I was at Michael David winery last week and got to taste all his wines the 7 deadly zins was ok but his earthquake and lust Zins were exceptional

Sinister Hand is always a good choice, but never younger than 2 years. It evolves in a textbook fashion. The tale of said hand is from the green isle long ago, there was a land grab for an island, where the winner in a row boat could claim the island. last treat, a bottle of gevrey – chambertin 2002 last week. i drank the bottle alone, slowly, all day and into the night. it was beautiful.
