It’s gotta be said – the old Solanera label was AWFUL. Much, much improved. And yes, the wine wasn’t too bad either.

Greatest Meal…I spent a cold and snowy October day with a couple friends splitting wood at cabin in Northern Minnesota. We finished late in the day around a roaring bonfire drinking Leinenkugel and eating Ham and Bean soup that had been simmering on the stove all day.

QOTD: The French Laundry for my 30th birthday. Oysters tapioca, selection of cheeses, duck sausage, quince, beef tenderloin, numerous chocolates it was so over the top I can’t even remember many of the details.

It was great meeting you on Saturday, a great event all together.

Nice episode. QOTD – A couple. In house, Beef Wellington prepared by my wife that was incredible. And, in San Sebastian, Spain, an amazing selection of tapas at several tapas bars, all taken in during a 2 hour food fest (repeated daily for a week).

QOTD – Greatest meal actually just happened 3 weeks ago. I was out with my wife and another couple to Scaramouche in Toronto. Another restaurant owner had gotten us the best table in the house with a great view of the Toronto skyline. I had venison that was SO DAMN GOOD!!! We had a great 2000 Silvio Grasso Barolo and a 1996 Pichon Baron and closed the place down……such a great night!!!!

good ep. I want that masseto.

are we allowed to post multiple times, or with different handles?

QOTD: My greatest meal was june 2004 in sicily with my now-wife. We were only asked by the waiter if we would like meat or fish, and red or white. Then for the next 3 hours we were fed dish after dish. They would bring out bottle after bottle and just leave it on the table for us to help ourselves. It was unbelievable.

  • Trey

Greatest Meal-steamed sea bass Hong Kong style.
