QOTD: My wife and I are going to Napa on President’s Day weekend. We were in Sonoma last summer and like to alternate between the two – good food, good wine and some time away from the every day routine.

QOD – Hoping to combine my two passions of wine and triathlon by racing in the up-and-coming Washington AVA of Lake Chelan. Talk about a nice recovery drink after the race!

Late April: Landing in SFO, hoping to connect with BrandonM for an offline, then stopping at Pelican Ranch to meet with KenP (or see both simultaneously). From there south to Paso Robles where we hope to arrange a couple of private tastings, maybe stop at a few tasting rooms. With luck we’ll meet my daughter and her SO.

My circadian life is now intact… with a new episode of WLTV! I was lost w/out my daily dose (d-squared)of GV!

Pity, the Morgante used to be available locally, but now it isn’t. I think the only Nero available out here in the stix is the Feudo Arancio. I tried it once and it didn’t get my attention, but then I was a little busy.

When I vacation I like to drive, so I don’t know if I want to mix that with wine so much.

Happy Monday – glad to see you up to your usual antics – slopping wine all over the place (I know…I know it’s for the homies) – and generally having a good time.

QOTD: No wine trips planned for the year. . . although all of us at AmericanWinery are planning a trip to Sacramento (we are driving, so maybe a pit stop or two) for the Unified Wine and Grape Symposium at the end of this month. I’m sure we’ll be tasting (drinking?) wine while there. Is that a show that you would ever attend?? We’ve never been so just curious what it’s like. . . .

Uh oh….someone is checking craigslist and the job ads tonight 🙁

Nice of you to give Mott the chance to enjoy the Giants’ glimmer. You’re looking greatly refreshed from the break.

QOTD Will definitely look around Walla Walla (already Google-Earthed the wineries) on our way down to visit my kid brother snowbirding in Phoenix, probably in March. He’ll be looking for us to bring down some Okanagan juice, too.

I am planning on meeting up with Gary V in Seattle for a wine tasting and then possibly again in Vancouver,Canada.
