What the hell? Are you looking at my paper for the Super Bowl picks and CHEATING (mine was Pats 38-17) AND, just how in the hell are they going to score 36 pts. 5 TD’s and on one of them they go for 2 just for giggles:) Oh, stupid me. Of course, 12 field goals!

QOTD: Biggest change in the last six months is that my knowledge of wine has grown exponentially. I’ve tried wines from regions I never knew existed, have a cellar with over 200 bottles and am loving every minute of it!

QOTD – In the last 6 months, I’ve found myself having an unhealthy obsessions with sparklers…from Moscato D’Asti, to Champagne, to Cava. But especially Rose sparkling wines, for some reason.

Also, I also have to take issue with the way John wrote that question because I have to deal with this every day. PLEASE BE CLEAR WHEN YOU ARE SENDING AN EMAIL!!!! Don’t abbreviate or send some kind of cryptic message or slang when you send a message to someone when you know they will have a hard time understanding it. QOTD, My biggest change was, thanks to GV I started to branch out from what my father was drinking. Amazing father, but will only drink big zins from California Foothills. I Started trying the Gewurztraminer, and other crisp whites. Thanks GV for saving me from the oak monster, he almost had me there.

PS, my dad will never be a fan, never ever ever. You gave his favorite wine a tasting note of ‘burnt BMX tire’. Should have seen his face!!! I will keep trying to have him watch another show.

QOTD: Sadly, I haven’t been drinking much wine over the last 6 months — the only change might be looking for the even bigger wine bargains since I’m back in University.

QOTD: The biggest change has been the experamenting with different varitals that I probably would not have normally tried. Also, I have loaded as many back episodes I did not hear onto my iPod and listen to them in my car. No more radio. It makes the drive so much nicer. Not sure what I am going to do when I get all caught up.

FYI, I am fairly new and missed the wrist bands (unfortunately). I even checked eBay and none are listed. You’ll know you’ve made it when they start being traded on eBay for big bucks. I’ll hold out for one someday, somehow.

As always GV, we love the candid nature of your analyses. Loved the show, and the questions. I’m still not sure exactly what happens with the wine once you’re done tasting… maybe you feed it to the oak monster you’ve captured and put in the basement. Regardless, I’m jealous of whoever gets the leftovers!

My wine world changes every week.
First I try & discovery:
more sparklers,
then it’s Zin’s,
then its PV’s………..it ever ends.

But I found that the still wines must be decanted
every night, even if it’s for only 20 minutes.

Tried this wine last week. Thought it tasted like rotting roadkill.

QOTD – Fruit bombs stopped wowing me the way they used to and my cellar has doubled in size.
