Favorite vodka is Reyka, from Iceland. Filtered through volcanic rocks, possibly the ones that wrecked airplane travel months back. Very clean, great packaging, little booklet. If I can't find that, there's some beautiful plastic jugged varieties out of the Irvington region of Jersey.

    first, football. i don’t get the ‘world champions’ thing. when i was a very young kid, i briefly collected gum wrappers. now maybe i could have declared myself to be the world gum wrapper collecting champion. but – if no one else in the world cares about that hobby (as they shouldn’t), does that label mean anything? similarly, no other countries my knowledge, except the canadians (eh?), play pro football – and we don’t even play the canadians for the ‘world championship.’ so that title just seems goofy to me. anyway, congrats to the world/national/whatever champions. glad that’s over so i won’t (hopefully) hear of the giants or patriots for a while and i can turn my rant mode off. 🙂

    qotd: i only drink vodka in mixed drinks. since the quality is lost in the mix, i don’t care much about brands. i buy ketel one just in case i have someone over who cares.

    QOTD: Greygoose is my go to Vodka, but I had some crazy schnizza a few years ago brought over from Russia, smooth as silk! Wish I remembered the name…

    Ah, GV, yesterday made up for having to watch Joe Walton run around like HE had won the Super Bowl that time your Jets knocked my Giants out of the playoffs. You remember. I told you about it. Yesterday ALMOST made up for sitting through that debacle down in Tampa in 2001. Figures that was the year I got SB tickets!
    But, hey, THanks for 400 episodes, dude!

    Thanks for calling out Grey Goose – way too sweet for my taste. If I want something sweet, I’ll hit up the Bison Grass vodka with some apple juice (or maybe Ciroc & tonic). If I want a cool bottle sitting around, I do up the Belvedere.

    QOTD: I’ve like Rain vodka. It’s got nice roundness and it’s still very clean. Mixes nicely with tonic, too (ooops… should I not have admitted that I mix it to a Russian?).

    QOTD: I am not a huge vodka fan, but I did recently infuse a vodka with Buddah’s hand (a citrus fruit) and it turned out pretty well.
