QOTD: Albarino has definately become a new favorite of mine. It brings a new flavor that a lot of other whites don’t bring to the table. But I’m a sucker for the 2005 Monkey Bay Pinot Grigio. The grapefruit component of the wine blows me away.

QOTD: My new white wine is Vernaccia Di San Gimignano. I had this wine when we visited the city of San Gimignano while in Tuscany. The grapes are only grown around the city, it was nice to find them in the US.

QOTD: I’ve been exploring white wines a lot lately so I have a few favorite new ones: Lugana, Albariño, and white Burgundy are at the top of my list. Last Friday I had the most amazing white dessert wine. It was an Austrian Chardonnay/. I’d never heard of the welchriesling varietal before! It was wonderful.

I love Reisling! Hey, thanks again for coming on WineCountryTalkRadio(TM) this past Saturday. The show was a smash! We’re getting great feedback here in So Cal. And, I totally am ditto on family!!! My two sons are married and near your age, and my daughter and her husband are just a little younger. They call me and my wife all the time to say “love you”. There isn’t anything better than when we all get together as family (and we do that very often)!

DOD – I gave my wife a call out of the blue after i finished your episode during lunch. Just to tell her i loved her and to thank her for carrying our 3rd child (due in May).

QOD – I have been on a German Reisling kick. I have finished the 1/2 case i brought back with me on my last trip to Southern Germany :-/

I’ll have to schedule some restocking time.

I am so fortunate to have such a supportive fam. It has been a roller coaster of a year for me and they have stood by me for every up, down, left and right on the ride. Embracing my family as the most important value in my life has changed my life this past year. I call Mom and Pops almost every day but I don’t express my graditude for their support enough- will do tonight.
