QOTD: The last wine I had was the Sprucewood Shores Estate Pinot Noir 2005 from Lake Erie North Shore (Ontario, Canada). It definitely brought the thunder.

Gary…last night I had two glasses of Charles Creek Miradero Merlot 2002…very nice..just a hint of Oak Monstor..very nice..slept very well….would love a new wrist band….

QotD: The last wine I had was a bottle of sake with a friend. I think it brought the thunder because of the good company and good food that was served with it. It was the kind of wine that puts a good moment into a great experience.

Finally, I am caught up with the show and you are back! The two shows without you were alright but definitely not as good as the Thunder Show.

QOTD: I last had a 2004 Golden Kaan Shiraz, last Friday. It was a little bit too light and weak for me, but the overall flavor profile reminded me of a Chipotle burrito and that was cool. I just wish it was stronger. A pazzzzz from me.

I, for one, wouldn’t be up in arms about seeing the points scoring go. Not that I hate them, but in the end they’re pretty meaningless like you’ve said. Either way, the show rocks and I’m glad you’re back, Gary V!

Long time no watch! Love the energy, but man, I worry about you bursting into flame sometimes…

QOTD: Last wine I had from the Sonoma barrel tasting weekend was Kaz Winery’s “Trixie’s Secret” using the Nebbiolo Rosa grape. Made like a red (i.e. on skins, etc.) but doesn’t get any darker than a pink wine. Tasted nice, better than some traditional pinks I’ve had in the last year. Gets me in the mood for the sum-sum-summertime to come.
