What up Grrr, great episode man. I have heard you reference white flowers several times and today you mention walking down a perfume aisle. This reminded me of a perfume I got for my sister once… “Quelques Fleurs” by Houbigant. Next time your gettin’ drug around a nice department store by the Mrs., swing by the perfume area and check it out.

QOTD: Well, now you have got my attention. I have had numerous Tocai Friulanos, including a tre Bicchiere rated one, but I have never been as impressed as you are over this one. Wow! 94+ points and with the tasting description to match!? I am going out right now to try to find it.

Way back when I started watching your show you featured this grape and it peaked my interest and of course you were right!!! I requested it from one of our distributors to sell in our small shop over a year ago and ever since then there is a cult following of customers that buy it from us!!! Just another way to get people to drink something other than White Zin which is my mission in life! KUDOS to you and your wonderful life changing suggestions!!! I will so seek this one out for sure! I have never had one of this but I think I’ll go out looking for Friulano for this weeks bottle of wine.

The last Friulano I had was at an amazing dinner at the Enoteca at Del Posto 2 or 3 years ago (they may still have the best prix fixe deal in the city at $40 for four courses – a must for any wine lover coming through NYC). The waiter, without backup from the sommelier, put together an amazing wine pairing with the prix fixe, and the Fruliana (I think it was a Bastinach, but not sure) blew me away. Definately need to go back and taste some more of them.
