Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, but things have been a bit hectic. Fear no more, the answer to the QOTD:

I traveled over 550 miles by car amidst the insanely high gas prices to spend the 4th of July holiday with my wonderful family. I couldn’t be in a better place right now.

Mott & Gary: What are your plans for the 4th? Take it easy guys!

I tried a Boedecker pinot noir about 2 weeks ago, and it was really great. I’ve seen a few bottles at LWS, and I’ve been meaning to grab some for the cellar — better do it soon, since it’s probably going to disappear thanks to the Vaynerchuk-bump. 🙂

QOTD: A young cousin is passing through town this weekend, and we’ll be showing him the local sights. It should be fun!

QOTD: Non-stop BBQ-ing from tonight through Sunday. My brother and sister in law are returning from Oregon–I’m sure they got to your book signing in Portland. Sunday will be an all-out battle of the N.W. vinos: Those that they’re bringing back from Oregon vs. those that my wife and I brought back from Washington a few weeks ago. It’ll be a grand way to toast the good ol’ USA. Happy Fourth, everybody!!

Gary, First off the book signing in Seattle was pretty good. I’m always shocked at how big your personality is compared to… well the rest of you. Next, you suck, because as of today my favorite Oregon wine shop is totally out of Boedecker Stewart, and they wanted to know where the rush came from.

I’ve got a £26 Chateauneuf de Pape, a £23 Rjoca and a £16 Riesling. They are also buying 3 wines each, at the same price points… so it should be a good Saturday, at least! 😉

Since I finished Uni, they’ve loved trying to include me in more things… I don’t think they like that I wasn’t living at home for 4 years! Heh.
